The OE Match Speedo Scale for Conversion from Miles to Km/H (Mechanical) is a high-quality replacement speedometer dial face designed to convert a mechanically operated Porsche speedometer from miles per hour (MPH) to kilometres per hour (km/h). Manufactured to OE-style specifications for fit, appearance and readability, this speedometer scale provides an authentic solution for vehicle imports, restorations and market conversions.
Fits:
- Porsche 911 1974-1977 2.7L / 1976-77 3.0 Carrera
- Porsche 911 1978-1983 3.0L / SC
Precision printed with clear, factory-style markings, the scale is designed to fit compatible mechanical speedometer assemblies while maintaining the original appearance of the instrument cluster. Ideal for classic Porsche restorations and international vehicle conversions, it allows drivers to read road speed in kilometres per hour while preserving the period-correct look of the dashboard.
What This Product Does:
- Converts a mechanical speedometer display from MPH to km/h.
- Provides accurate and easy-to-read speed indications.
- Maintains the original appearance of the instrument cluster.
- Supports vehicle import and market conversion requirements.
- Enhances compliance with regional driving regulations where applicable.
- Restores worn or damaged speedometer dial faces.
- Improves instrument readability.
- Preserves factory-style dashboard presentation.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Faded or discoloured markings.
- Peeling or lifting dial face graphics.
- Scratched or damaged scale surface.
- Illegible speed markings.
- Cracked or distorted dial face.
- Poor instrument visibility.
- Inaccurate visual reference points.
- Age-related deterioration of printed graphics.
- Mismatched or incorrect speed scale following vehicle import.
- Reduced dashboard presentation quality.
Why Replacement Matters:
- Speedometer dial faces are exposed to years of sunlight, heat, moisture and general ageing. Over time, printed markings can fade, crack or become difficult to read, reducing instrument clarity and affecting the overall appearance of the vehicle's interior.
- For imported vehicles or owners wishing to convert from MPH to km/h, an appropriate speedometer scale is essential for displaying road speed in the preferred measurement system. A worn or incorrect dial can make speed monitoring more difficult and detract from the originality of the instrument cluster.
- Replacing the speedometer scale restores clear visibility and factory-style presentation while allowing accurate speed reference in kilometres per hour. An OE Match replacement provides high-quality printing, authentic appearance and precise fitment, making it ideal for restoration projects, dashboard refurbishment and vehicle conversions.

Precision printed with factory-style graphics and markings, the scale is designed to integrate seamlessly into the original instrument cluster while maintaining the classic appearance of the dashboard. Ideal for owners seeking a metric speed display, it allows for improved speed readability and a more authentic presentation for vehicles operating in km/h regions.
What This Product Does:
- Converts the speedometer display from MPH to km/h.
- Provides clear and accurate speed reference markings.
- Maintains the original appearance of the instrument cluster.
- Supports vehicle import and market conversion projects.
- Enhances dashboard presentationand authenticity.
- Improves readability for drivers using metric speed measurements.
- Restores worn or damaged speedometer dial faces.
- Preserves factory-style instrument aesthetics.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Faded or discoloured speed markings.
- Peeling or lifting graphics.
- Scratched or damaged dial surfaces.
- Cracked or distorted scale face.
- Poor visibility of speed graduations.
- Illegible numbering or markings.
- Age-related deterioration of printed finishes.
- Incorrect speed display units following vehicle import.
- Reduced dashboard appearance and originality.
- Mismatched instrument presentation after restoration work.
Why Replacement Matters:
- Speedometer dial faces are exposed to years of sunlight, heat, dust and environmental ageing. Over time, markings can fade, surfaces can become damaged and visibility may deteriorate, reducing both functionality and visual appeal.
- For imported vehicles or restorations requiring a kilometre-per-hour display, replacing the original MPH scale provides a cleaner and more authentic solution than supplementary stickers or overlays. A properly fitted km/h scale improves readability and helps maintain a factory-style appearance within the instrument cluster.
- Replacing a worn or incorrect speedometer scale restores instrument clarity, enhances dashboard presentation and provides accurate speed reference markings in kilometres per hour. An OE Match replacement delivers high-quality printing, precise fitment and authentic styling, making it ideal for Porsche restorations, instrument refurbishment and metric conversions.

This Speedometer Cable Boot is an OE Match protective rubber sleeve/grommet designed for classic Porsche 911 models. It seals and protects the speedometer cable where it passes through the body or connection point.
Fits:
Porsche 911 1965 - 1971
Diagram ref no 9
The boot protects the speedometer cable and its connection by sealing the entry point and preventing contamination. This helps maintain accurate speedometer readings and prolongs the life of the cable.
Without this protection, debris and moisture can cause wear, corrosion, or inaccurate readings.
Function
• Seals speedometer cable entry point
• Protects cable from dirt, moisture, and debris
• Maintains smooth cable operation
• Helps preserve accurate speedometer function
Over time, rubber boots can harden, crack, or split due to age and exposure. A damaged boot allows contaminants into the cable system, which can lead to premature wear, corrosion, and inaccurate speed readings. Replacing the boot ensures proper sealing and helps maintain the reliability of the speedometer system.
When to replace
• Cracked, brittle, or split rubber boot
• Missing or loose cable seal
• Moisture or dirt ingress around cable
• Speedometer cable replacement or service
• During restoration or refurbishment
