The OE Match Speedo Scale for Conversion from Miles to Km/H (Mechanical) is a high-quality replacement speedometer dial face designed to convert a mechanically operated Porsche speedometer from miles per hour (MPH) to kilometres per hour (km/h). Manufactured to OE-style specifications for fit, appearance and readability, this speedometer scale provides an authentic solution for vehicle imports, restorations and market conversions.
Fits:
- Porsche 911 1974-1977 2.7L / 1976-77 3.0 Carrera
- Porsche 911 1978-1983 3.0L / SC
Precision printed with clear, factory-style markings, the scale is designed to fit compatible mechanical speedometer assemblies while maintaining the original appearance of the instrument cluster. Ideal for classic Porsche restorations and international vehicle conversions, it allows drivers to read road speed in kilometres per hour while preserving the period-correct look of the dashboard.
What This Product Does:
- Converts a mechanical speedometer display from MPH to km/h.
- Provides accurate and easy-to-read speed indications.
- Maintains the original appearance of the instrument cluster.
- Supports vehicle import and market conversion requirements.
- Enhances compliance with regional driving regulations where applicable.
- Restores worn or damaged speedometer dial faces.
- Improves instrument readability.
- Preserves factory-style dashboard presentation.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Faded or discoloured markings.
- Peeling or lifting dial face graphics.
- Scratched or damaged scale surface.
- Illegible speed markings.
- Cracked or distorted dial face.
- Poor instrument visibility.
- Inaccurate visual reference points.
- Age-related deterioration of printed graphics.
- Mismatched or incorrect speed scale following vehicle import.
- Reduced dashboard presentation quality.
Why Replacement Matters:
- Speedometer dial faces are exposed to years of sunlight, heat, moisture and general ageing. Over time, printed markings can fade, crack or become difficult to read, reducing instrument clarity and affecting the overall appearance of the vehicle's interior.
- For imported vehicles or owners wishing to convert from MPH to km/h, an appropriate speedometer scale is essential for displaying road speed in the preferred measurement system. A worn or incorrect dial can make speed monitoring more difficult and detract from the originality of the instrument cluster.
- Replacing the speedometer scale restores clear visibility and factory-style presentation while allowing accurate speed reference in kilometres per hour. An OE Match replacement provides high-quality printing, authentic appearance and precise fitment, making it ideal for restoration projects, dashboard refurbishment and vehicle conversions.
