Installed in the intake manifold, the injector delivers pressurised fuel directly into the engine’s intake stream, working in precise timing with the engine management system. Sold individually, multiple injectors are required per engine (typically 6 for 911 3.2 and 4 for 924S / 944 models).
Fits:
Porsche 911 3.2L Carrera 1984-89 6pcs Required (911)
Porsche 924S 2.5L 1986-88 4pcs Required (924S/944)
Porsche 944 2.5L 1985-88 M44.05/10 4pcs Required (924S/944)
The fuel injector delivers a fine mist of fuel into the engine, ensuring the correct air-fuel mixture for combustion. This precise delivery is essential for smooth engine operation, efficient fuel use, and consistent power output. A properly functioning injector helps maintain throttle response, fuel economy, and emissions performance.
Function
• Delivers pressurised fuel into the intake system
• Atomises fuel for efficient combustion
• Maintains correct air-fuel ratio
• Supports smooth engine performance and responsiveness
Over time, fuel injectors can become clogged, worn, or fail to deliver the correct spray pattern. This can lead to poor fuel economy, rough running, misfires, and reduced engine performance. Replacing faulty injectors restores proper fuel delivery, improves engine efficiency, and helps maintain the performance expected from classic Porsche models.
When to replace
• Rough idle or engine misfires
• Poor fuel economy
• Loss of power or hesitation
• Fuel smell or leaks
• During engine rebuild or fuel system service
