The Particulate Matter Sensor is an advanced emissions control component designed to monitor the level of particulate matter (soot particles) present in the vehicle’s exhaust system. Installed within the exhaust after-treatment system, the sensor continuously measures particulate emissions and provides real-time data to the engine control unit (ECU).
Fits:
- Porsche 971.1 Panamera 4S Diesel V8 4.0L 4WD (422 Hp) 2017-18
- Porsche 971.1 Panamera 4S Diesel 4.0L Twin-Turbo V8 Sport Turismo 2017-18

This information allows the ECU to monitor the efficiency of the particulate filter system, manage regeneration cycles, and ensure compliance with modern emissions regulations. Manufactured to OEM specifications, the particulate matter sensor delivers accurate readings, reliable operation, and long-term durability in high-temperature exhaust environments.
What This Product Does:
- Monitors particulate matter (soot) levels within the exhaust system
- Provides real-time emissions data to the engine control unit (ECU)
- Supports diesel or gasoline particulate filter monitoring
- Helps manage particulate filter regeneration cycles
- Ensures emissions system efficiency and compliance
- Assists in diagnosing exhaust after-treatment system faults
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Check engine light or emissions warning light illumination
- Particulate filter warning messages on the dashboard
- Failed emissions tests or inspections
- Frequent or unsuccessful particulate filter regeneration cycles
- Reduced engine performance or limp-home mode activation
- Increased exhaust emissions
- Particulate sensor-related fault codes stored in the ECU
- Poor monitoring of diesel or gasoline particulate filter efficiency
Why Replacement Matters:
- Restores accurate particulate emissions monitoring
- Ensures proper particulate filter regeneration management
- Helps maintain emissions compliance and MOT readiness
- Prevents unnecessary warning lights and fault codes
- Supports efficient operation of the exhaust after-treatment system
- Reduces the risk of particulate filter blockage and costly repairs
- Improves overall engine management system accuracy
- Maintains long-term reliability and environmental performance of the vehicle
