Designed for enthusiasts who appreciate authentic Porsche character, the Tribute Shifter elevates every gear change with a tactile, mechanical feel while adding a distinctive handcrafted centrepiece to your cabin. A Tiptronic version is also available for owners looking to bring the same heritage-inspired styling to automatic models.
Why Upgrade Your Porsche Interior with the Tribute Shifter?
For many Porsche owners, the driving experience extends far beyond performance figures. The controls you interact with most should feel special, and nothing is touched more often than the gear lever.
The Nine Eleven Outlaw Tribute Shifter enhances your Porsche
interior by:
- Adding a motorsport-inspired design inspired by the Porsche 917 and Carrera GT.
- Creating a warmer, more premium tactile feel compared to standard factory shift knobs.
- Improving cabin aesthetics with handcrafted natural wood and aerospace-grade aluminium.
- Delivering a more engaging and authentic driving experience every time you change gear.
- Complementing Porsche Classic, Singer-inspired, Restomod and Outlaw-style builds.
- Providing an exclusive handcrafted upgrade rarely seen on other Porsche 964 and 993 models.
Whether you're restoring a concours-quality car, building a Porsche Outlaw project or simply refining your daily-driven classic 911, the Tribute Shifter delivers the perfect balance of luxury, heritage and driver engagement.
Handmade Craftsmanship Inspired by Porsche Racing Heritage
Every Nine Eleven Tribute Shifter is meticulously handmade in Austria by skilled artisans who share a passion for precision engineering and automotive excellence.
Its distinctive layered wooden construction creates a perfectly balanced, symmetrical appearance while showcasing the natural beauty of premium hardwood. Each knob is carefully finished with durable hard wax oil, preserving the wood's texture and character while ensuring long-lasting protection.
The result is a shift knob that feels every bit as special as the iconic Porsche models that inspired it.
Premium Materials for an Exceptional Driving Experience
Authentic Wooden Shift Knob
Crafted from high-quality hardwood and measuring 50mm in diameter, the wooden shift knob provides outstanding ergonomics and a reassuring feel in the hand. The hard wax oil finish enhances durability while allowing the natural grain and warmth of the wood to remain visible and tactile.
Aerospace-Grade 7075 Aluminium Shaft
The shifter shaft is manufactured from aircraft-grade 7075 aluminium alloy, offering exceptional strength while maintaining a lightweight construction. Each shaft is glass media blasted for an incredibly smooth, silky finish before being silver anodised for lasting durability.
RS-Inspired Driving Position
The Porsche 964 and 993 kit includes an adjustable-height configuration designed to replicate the driving ergonomics of the legendary Porsche 964 Carrera RS.
An included 28mm aluminium spacer raises the shift knob to RS height, bringing the gear lever closer to the steering wheel and reducing reach between shifts. The result is a more natural driving position and a more connected driving experience.
Designed Specifically for Porsche 964 & 993 Models
Unlike universal aftermarket gear knobs, the Tribute Shifter has been engineered specifically around Porsche factory shift mechanisms.
Most Porsche 964 and Porsche 993 models utilise a combined shift knob and gaiter assembly, and the Tribute Shifter has been developed to integrate seamlessly within the original interior design while dramatically enhancing its appearance and feel.
