The Porsche Headlamp Breather Pipe is a genuine OEM vent tube designed to prevent condensation and moisture build-up inside the headlight housing. Fitted to Porsche 911 (996 models), this pipe allows controlled airflow and pressure equalization, keeping your headlights clear and functioning properly.

What This Product Does:
The tube is a vent / breather tube for the headlamp housing. It allows moisture, condensation and air to escape from the headlamp enclosure so the lens doesn’t fog up, and prevents vacuum or pressure build-up inside the lamp unit.
Symptoms Of A Faulty / Missing / Damaged Vent Tube:
- Condensation / Fogging inside the headlamp lens, especially after weather changes or car wash.
- Water accumulation inside the headlight housing (visible water or dripping) leading to corrosion, rust, or water spots.
- Cloudiness or reduced light output due to moisture affecting reflectors or lenses.
- Burned / corroded connectors or bulb sockets due to water contact.
- The headlamp may feel humid inside, smell of damp plastic, or show signs of mildew / moisture staining.
Why Replacement Matters:
- Preserves headlamp clarity & performance: a clean, dry reflector & lens means correct beam pattern & brightness. Moisture or fog diminish performance and safety.
