Information
Drop link for rear anti roll bar
This OE Match rear anti-roll bar drop link is a replacement suspension link used on Porsche Cayenne 955, 957, and 958 models. It connects the rear anti-roll bar, also known as the stabiliser bar or sway bar, to the rear suspension assembly and is designed to match the original-style fit and function.
Sold individually, Left and right sides sold separately
Fits:
Porsche 955 Cayenne 2003 - 2006 (Rear)
Porsche 957 Cayenne 2007 - 2009 (Rear)
Porsche 958 Cayenne 2010>> (Rear)
*** Please note not for cars with PDCC - active body control
Diagram ref no 5.
The rear drop link transfers suspension movement between the rear wheel suspension and the anti-roll bar. This allows the anti-roll bar to reduce body roll during cornering and helps maintain stability, control, and balanced handling.
Functions
• Connects the rear anti-roll bar to the suspension assembly
• Helps reduce body roll during cornering
• Supports rear axle stability and handling control
• Helps maintain correct anti-roll bar operation
• Reduces unwanted suspension movement
• Restores correct suspension response when the original link is worn
• OE Match replacement for the original rear stabiliser link
Why Replace This Part?
Rear anti-roll bar drop links are exposed to road dirt, moisture, suspension movement, and constant vibration. Over time, the ball joints or bushes can wear, loosen, split, or corrode. A worn drop link can cause knocking noises, poor handling, increased body roll, or a loose feeling from the rear suspension. Replacing the drop link helps restore stable suspension performance and quiet operation.
When to replac:
• Knocking or rattling is heard from the rear suspension
• The rear of the vehicle feels unstable or loose
• There is increased body roll when cornering
• The drop link ball joint or bush is worn, split, or loose
• The anti-roll bar link is bent, corroded, or damaged
• The rear anti-roll bar or suspension has been removed for service
• As part of rear suspension refresh or MOT / roadworthiness repair
Where it fits on the car
This drop link fits on the rear suspension, connecting the rear anti-roll bar to the suspension arm or wheel carrier area, depending on model specification. It is used on the rear axle anti-roll bar system.
