Manufactured from high-quality automotive-grade EPDM rubber, the seal offers excellent resistance to UV exposure, ozone, moisture and temperature extremes. Precision-profiled and supplied in the correct 960mm length, it delivers factory-style fitment and flexibility, making it ideal for restoration projects or replacing worn, hardened or damaged original seals.
What This Product Does:
- Seals the lower edge of the door against the body.
- Prevents water, road spray and dirt from entering the vehicle.
- Reduces wind noise and draughts.
- Helps protect the door and sill from moisture-related corrosion.
- Improves cabin comfort and weather protection.
- Cushions the lower edge of the door during closure.
- Restores the original fit and appearance of the door seal system.
- Forms an essential part of the vehicle's weather sealing system.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Water leaks into the cabin.
- Increased wind noise while driving.
- Cracked, split or hardened rubber.
- Flattened or compressed seal profile.
- Dirt or road spray entering the vehicle.
- Damp carpets or lower interior trim.
- Visible gaps between the seal and the body.
- Loose or detached sections of the seal.
- Perished rubber due to age or UV exposure.
- Corrosion developing around the lower door or sill.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The lower door seal is continuously exposed to water, road salt, dirt, UV radiation and repeated compression every time the door is opened and closed. Over time, the rubber can harden, crack or lose its elasticity, reducing its ability to form an effective weatherproof seal.
- A deteriorated lower seal can allow moisture and contaminants into the cabin and door structure, increasing the risk of corrosion, interior damage and excessive wind noise. Poor sealing can also reduce driving comfort and detract from the quality and originality of the vehicle.
- Replacing a worn lower door seal restores the weatherproof integrity of the door assembly and helps protect the bodywork and interior from environmental damage. The OE Match replacement provides factory-style fitment, premium EPDM rubber construction and long-lasting durability, ensuring the protection, refinement and classic appearance expected from your Porsche.
