As Porsche 964 and 993 models continue to age, factory evaporators often become clogged, corroded, inefficient, or leak over time. A common issue on these vehicles is the appearance of white flakes or dust particles blowing through the cabin vents, caused by oxidation and corrosion inside the evaporator core.
Unlike modern aftermarket solutions, many replacement OEM evaporators no longer feature the original anti-corrosion coating due to environmental restrictions.
