OE Match centre dashboard air vent nozzle designed as a replacement for the original factory air vent used in classic Porsche 911 models equipped with air conditioning. It replicates the original vent’s fitment, shape, and louvre function to deliver correct cabin airflow and OEM-style appearance.
The only difference is that this vent does not come with sliders / adjusters on the sides. You can position the louvres by hand though.
Fits:
Porsche 911 1975 - 1986
Porsche 930 Turbo
Porsche 912E
Diagram ref no 10.
This OE Match version is ideal for vehicles where the original centre vent has faded, cracked, failed to hold position, or has missing adjustment tabs - common issues on older cars due to age and sun exposure.
The centre dashboard air vent directs conditioned or ambient air from the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system into the cabin. It lets occupants adjust airflow direction and volume for comfort, defrosting, or ventilation purposes.
Function:
Installed at the centre of the dashboard, this OE Match vent:
• Channels air from the HVAC system into the cabin
• Allows directional adjustment of airflow
• Helps balance cabin temperature and comfort
• Complements original dashboard aesthetics
Centre air vent assemblies endure heat, sunlight, and repeated adjustment, which can cause them to become brittle, cracked, faded, or loose over time. A failing vent can disrupt airflow, reduce cabin comfort, and detract from the interior’s appearance. Replacing it with an OE Match unit restores proper airflow control, eliminates rattles or misalignment, and improves the visual continuity of the dashboard.
When to replace:
• Vent louvers are stuck, broken, or loose
• Dashboard airflow is restricted or misdirected
• Interior trim looks faded or mismatched
• During HVAC servicing or dashboard restoration
• Prior to resale or show preparation
