Ninemeister Converter Repair Flange
Over time, age, heat cycles, and corrosion take their toll on Porsche exhaust systems. A common weak point is the catalytic converter flange, which can corrode and eventually disintegrate. When this happens, it compromises the seal in your exhaust system, leading to exhaust leaks, loss of performance, and increased noise.
The Ninemeister repair flange is a high-quality replacement solution designed specifically to restore your Porsche’s exhaust integrity.
Key Features
- Direct
Repair Solution – allows you to remove the corroded flange and re-weld
this precision-machined replacement in place.
- Durable
Construction – built to withstand the extreme heat and corrosive
conditions of Porsche exhaust systems.
- Restores
Exhaust Sealing – eliminates leaks, restores back pressure, and
ensures smooth engine performance.
- Cost-Effective
Repair – no need to replace the entire catalytic converter when only
the flange is damaged.
- Tailored Fitment – engineered to match Porsche specifications for proper alignment and fit.
Why Replace a Corroded Converter Flange?
- Eliminate
Exhaust Leaks – prevent harmful gases from escaping and affecting
cabin safety.
- Restore
Performance – exhaust leaks reduce back pressure, causing poor
throttle response and reduced efficiency.
- Prevent
Further Damage – corrosion at the flange can spread, leading to costly
catalytic converter or exhaust system replacements.
- Long-Term Reliability – a fresh flange ensures your exhaust remains structurally sound for years to come.
The Ninemeister catalytic converter repair flange provides a reliable, cost-effective fix for corroded catalytic converter
flanges, helping you keep your Porsche exhaust system safe, efficient, and true
to factory performance.

The Fabspeed Sport Catalytic Converters are high-performance replacement catalytic converters developed for the Porsche 997.2 Turbo and Turbo S from 2010–2012.
Fits:
- Porsche 997 MKII Turbo / Turbo S 2010-12
Designed to replace the restrictive factory catalytic-converter section, these Sport Cats use German HJS 200-cell catalytic converters combined with high-quality T304L stainless-steel pipework. The result is a freer-flowing exhaust path designed to improve power, throttle response and exhaust sound while retaining catalytic-converter functionality.
What This Product Does:
Catalytic converters form an important part of the vehicle's exhaust and emissions-control system.
Exhaust gases leaving the turbochargers pass through the catalytic converters before travelling through the remainder of the exhaust system. The catalyst promotes chemical reactions that convert harmful exhaust pollutants into less harmful gases before they leave the exhaust.
Performance catalytic converters perform the same fundamental role but use a less restrictive internal structure to improve exhaust flow.
The Fabspeed Sport Cats are designed to provide:
- Increased exhaust flow
- Reduced exhaust restriction
- Improved power
- Improved torque
- Sharper throttle response
- Increased performance potential
- More noticeable flat-six exhaust sound
- Reduced exhaust-system weight
- Continued catalytic exhaust-gas treatment
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
Catalytic converters operate under extremely high temperatures and can deteriorate through age, mileage, contamination or engine-related faults.
Common symptoms can include:
- Check-engine warning light
- Catalyst-efficiency fault codes
- Reduced engine performance
- Poor throttle response
- Restricted exhaust flow
- Unusual rattling from underneath the vehicle
- Excessive exhaust heat
- Sulphur-like or unusual exhaust smell
- Poor acceleration
- Increased fuel consumption
- Failed emissions testing
- Visible damage to the catalytic converter
- Abnormal exhaust noise
A failed catalyst should be properly diagnosed before replacement.
Why Replacement Matters:
A damaged, contaminated or internally collapsed catalytic converter can restrict exhaust flow and interfere with engine performance.
Possible consequences include:
- Reduced power
- Poor acceleration
- Increased exhaust backpressure
- Excessive exhaust heat
- Engine-management warning lights
- Emissions faults
- Increased fuel consumption
- Further damage to exhaust components
Replacing a failed converter restores the intended exhaust path and catalytic function.
When upgrading to Fabspeed Sport Catalytic Converters, replacement can additionally provide reduced exhaust restriction, improved throttle response, increased performance potential and a sportier exhaust sound.

The Fabspeed Cat Bypass Pipes are high-performance straight-through exhaust pipes developed for the Porsche 997.2 Turbo and Turbo S from 2010–2012.
Fits:
- Porsche 997 MKII Turbo / Turbo S 2010-12
Designed specifically for track and off-road applications, these pipes replace the restrictive factory catalytic converters with a freer-flowing exhaust path. Removing the catalyst section reduces exhaust restriction after the turbochargers, allowing exhaust gases to exit more freely while producing a significantly louder and more aggressive exhaust note.
What This Product Does:
The factory exhaust system uses catalytic converters to treat exhaust gases before they leave the vehicle.
Although catalytic converters perform an important emissions-control function, they also create some resistance to exhaust flow.
The Fabspeed Cat Bypass Pipes remove this catalyst section entirely and replace it with straight-through stainless-steel tubing.
Their purpose is to provide:
- Increased exhaust flow
- Reduced exhaust restriction
- Improved throttle response
- Increased performance potential
- Reduced exhaust-system weight
- Increased exhaust volume
- More noticeable turbocharger spool
- More aggressive flat-six exhaust sound
These characteristics make the pipes primarily suited to track and competition vehicles where maximum exhaust flow is prioritised over road-going emissions compliance.
When Might Cat By-Pass Pipes Be Considered:
These pipes are not conventional replacement catalytic converters.
They are a track-focused performance modification intended to remove the catalytic-converter section completely.
They may be considered when:
- Building a closed-course track vehicle
- Maximum exhaust flow is desired
- A more aggressive exhaust note is wanted
- Increased turbo spool sound is desired
- Reduced exhaust-system weight is important
- The vehicle is being modified for competition use
- Other compatible performance upgrades are being installed
For a road-going vehicle, catalytic converters should not simply be removed as a replacement for failed components.
Why Replacement Matters:
A damaged or internally collapsed catalytic converter can restrict exhaust flow.
This can lead to:
- Reduced engine performance
- Poor throttle response
- Increased exhaust backpressure
- Excessive exhaust temperatures
- Engine-management faults
- Poor acceleration
On a road-going vehicle, the correct solution is normally to diagnose the cause and replace a failed catalytic converter with an appropriate emissions-compliant component.
For a dedicated track or off-road vehicle, Fabspeed Cat Bypass Pipes provide an alternative performance configuration that removes the catalysts and maximises exhaust flow.
