Original Porsche accelerator linkage rod connector used in the throttle control system of classic Porsche cars. It joins the main accelerator linkage extension (from the pedal/tunnel rod) to the throttle linkage cable or bell crank at the transmission/fuel system, allowing pedal movement to be precisely transmitted through the linkage.
Fits:
Porsche 911 1965 - 1989
Diagram ref no 9
The accelerator linkage rod connector serves as a pivoting connection point in the throttle linkage assembly. When the driver depresses the accelerator pedal, this connector helps transfer that motion through the linkage to the throttle mechanism, enabling consistent and smooth acceleration control. By maintaining correct alignment between linkage components, it preserves precise throttle response.
Installed between sections of the accelerator/throttle linkage, this part:
• Connects the accelerator pedal linkage to the throttle cable or bell crank
• Ensures accurate motion transfer from the driver’s foot to the throttle
• Helps maintain correct linkage alignment and geometry
• Reduces unwanted play and throttle inconsistency
• Provides long-lasting wear resistance
The throttle linkage is critical to engine response, drivability, and safety. A worn, deteriorated, or poorly fitting connector can lead to:
• Sloppy or inconsistent throttle feel
• Reduced acceleration precision
• Increased linkage play or binding
• Potential lag in throttle response
Replace this connector if you notice:
• Excessive play in the throttle linkage
• Sticky, inconsistent, or delayed acceleration
• Binding or rough movement in the accelerator linkage
• During pedal or linkage overhaul and restoration work
• Visible wear or deterioration of the old connector

If you are looking to improve your overall driving enjoyment or reduce your eco-footprint, you need a Pedal Commander. Most newer vehicles are manufactured with Electronic Throttle Control (ETC). This means your acceleration is no longer powered with the old school throttle cable that gave you a linear relationship between your foot and the throttle body, but now everything is powered by electronics and your car’s computer (ECU). The electronic throttle does not provide the same performance as it creates a lag from your initial accelerator push.
Vehicles are changing every year, mostly because of the rate at which technology is developing. The systems that were once mechanically controlled are now controlled by the vehicle’s computer. One such new system is the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC), known as drive-wire-wire, which is an automobile technology that electronically connects the accelerator pedal to the throttle, replacing a mechanical linkage.
A typical drive-by-wire system has 3 major components: (1) an accelerator pedal model, (2) a powertrain/engine control system (PCM/ECM), and (3) a throttle valve that opens and closes by the electric motor. It also has several benefits such as reduced weight to take the pressure off the engine, better placement for easier time control and flexibility, and helps improve fuel economy. However, it has its limitations.
If you want your vehicle to respond quicker, Pedal Commander is the right tool for the job! Pedal Commander will allow you to customise the throttle response in the way you want.
Faster acceleration
Are you looking for accessories that complement your driving experience? The Pedal Commander system eliminates the delay from your electronic throttle pedal, allowing your car to accelerate faster, giving your vehicle a night/day difference in performance.
36 Adjustable settings
Pedal Commander is equipped with four modes, Eco, City, Sport, and Sport +. Each mode has an additional nine drive modes to fine-tune to your liking, making this a must-have accessory for your Porsche.
Fuel savings
With Eco mode's significantly slow response, Pedal Commander can increase your MPG and save you up to 20% in fuel economy. You can use the Pedal Commander throttle response controller as a fuel-saver device.
Plug and play
Pedal Commander is a simple plug-and-play device that takes only about 5 minutes to install. Pedal Commander is also Bluetooth-compatible, so you can control the unit using our free Pedal Commander app.
Will not void warranty
Pedal Commander will not void the warranty on your PORSCHE or leave any traces behind on your ECU.
Quick Installation
Installation does not require technical expertise. Pedal Commander installation takes an average of 15 minutes.
