Stomski Racing
Stomski Racing for Porsche
Stomski Racing parts for Porsche models from Design911.
A Quick Look at Stomski Racing
Stomski Racing information on this page is based on details supplied by the manufacturer or distributor, plus any OE references provided with the parts.
Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche
Where Stomski Racing is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.
- Typical reasons people choose Stomski Racing include improving shift precision, strengthening weak points, and upgrading components that see heavy use on track or fast road driving.
- Common side effects if the wider setup is not considered can include increased noise, vibration and harshness, faster wear of consumables, or disappointing handling balance.
- Match parts to how the car is used (road vs track), and consider alignment, mounts, and bushes as part of the overall setup.
- Before committing to major work, use measurement, inspection, and alignment data to validate issues and confirm that upgrades are working as intended.
- Upgrade in stages where possible, checking tyre wear, alignment figures, and drivability after each step.
Browse by Category
If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.
Engine Rebuild Parts — Engine rebuild parts are typically changed during a planned rebuild or when symptoms point to internal wear such as loss of compression, heavy oil consumption, persistent leaks, abnormal noises, or contamination found during inspection. Many owners choose to replace chains, guides, seals, bearings, and gaskets while the engine is apart to avoid repeat strip-downs and to improve reliability after the rebuild.
- Confirm the need for a rebuild with compression and leak-down tests, borescope inspection, and oil/filter analysis before ordering major parts.
- Plan a sensible “while you are in there” list (chains, guides, seals, hardware) so labour is used efficiently.
Engine Bolts / Studs — Engine bolts and studs are replaced because many are torque-to-yield or fatigue over time, and re-using stretched or corroded fasteners can lead to poor clamping, leaks, or even failure. They are commonly renewed during rebuilds, head work, and exhaust removal, and upgraded studs are often used on performance builds to improve head sealing and reliability under higher loads.
- Check whether specific fasteners are single-use and verify engine code, length, and specification before ordering replacements or upgrades.
- Expect seized or corroded exhaust studs on older engines and plan for careful removal or machining as part of the job.
Crankcase Parts — Crankcase parts are changed when there is damage from bearing failure, cracks, stripped threads, or oil leaks from case joints, or when wear affects clearances and oil pressure. During major rebuilds, people also address crankcase components to correct known weaknesses in ventilation, baffles, and sealing, because case integrity and oiling passages are critical to long-term reliability.
Crankshaft & Parts — Crankshafts and related components are replaced or reworked when journals are scored, out of round, cracked, or when an engine has suffered oil starvation or bearing failure. Bearings, thrust washers, and associated hardware are renewed to restore correct clearances and maintain healthy oil pressure so that the rebuild is not compromised by repeated bearing problems.
Specialist Tools — Specialist tools are used where Porsche engine work needs precise locking, pulling, pressing, or measuring that generic tools cannot provide safely. Owners and workshops buy them to avoid damaging expensive components, to set timing and torque correctly, and to carry out rebuild and upgrade procedures (such as IMS or timing work) to a professional standard.

Another STOMSKI RACING original, this ingenious tool is designed primarily for the "younger" Porsches (Caymans, Boxsters, Cayennes, 996s, 997s, GT3s, etc.) that are experiencing pulled threads in the aluminum suspension parts where the brake calipers bolt up (usually in the rear).
The SR152 fixture adjusts from a bolt hole spacing of 4.5" to about 6.5" allowing application for a wide range of vehicles.
It comes complete with 4 different bushings to help align the tool, and then guide all the tools of the TimeSert M12 kit (sold separately).
