About Rennkit

Rennkit for Porsche

Early in 2015, Rennkit™ LLC was created to build and market the all-electric bolt on system for the wing hydraulics. The first “eRam Kit™” was installed on a Porsche 996 Turbo during March, 2015. Over 24 beta testers and early adopters contacted me to purchase and test the first eRam Kits™. All of them helped prove our concept “A Simpler Form, Follows Function”. This enforced a real need for such a product. The owners of an eRam Kit™ are proud of it and their installation skills. You can read their testimonials here.In 2019 we were granted a patent for our novel electric wing elevator system.

Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche

Where Rennkit is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.

  • Typical reasons to choose these parts include simplifying a complex upgrade, grouping compatible components for a known job, and aiming for improved reliability on a proven setup.
  • Common issues if the wrong or incomplete kit is used include fitment headaches, incomplete installs, and repeat work caused by skipping supporting parts or mixing versions across model years.
  • Before ordering, review the kit notes for any extra seals, fluids, or hardware, and confirm it matches your exact Porsche model year and variant.
  • During installation, read the fitting guidance first and replace accessible consumables while everything is apart to avoid future strip-downs.
  • For electrical or powered components, confirm fuse ratings, relay seating, connector condition, and earth points so that any intermittent faults are resolved at the same time.
  • If operation is intermittent, remember that heat, vibration, marginal contacts, or water ingress can all cause faults that are not visible on first inspection.

Browse by Category

If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.

Chassis / Bodywork — Chassis and bodywork components are typically used to repair accident damage, address rust or structural corrosion, or support restoration and performance work while keeping the Porsche shell straight, secure, and correctly aligned.

Electrical & Relays — Electrical and relay-related parts are chosen when a Porsche develops intermittent or complete loss of power to functions such as pumps, motors, or lighting, helping restore reliable switching and protection of key systems.

Bonnet / Rear Lid / Spoiler Activators & Motors — Bonnet, rear lid, and spoiler activators or motors are replaced when powered opening, lifting, or spoiler movement becomes slow, noisy, intermittent, or stops altogether, often due to wear, moisture ingress, or binding mechanisms.

Exterior Styling / Spoilers — Exterior styling items and fixed spoilers allow owners to refresh damaged trim or update the look of their Porsche, from subtle changes to more motorsport-inspired conversions, with attention to correct fitment and paint preparation.

Rear Spoilers / Aerofoil — Rear spoilers and aerofoils are selected to restore or improve rear-end stability and aesthetics, whether replacing a damaged factory item or upgrading to a different style or material that suits the Porsche’s intended road or track use.
