Softronic ECU Flash Porsche 997.2 Turbo 2010-12
The 2007-2009 Porsche 997 Turbo has been a huge success for Softronic. As one of the first companies to be able to flash through the OBDII port, the performance gain and convenience of the Softronic flash has proven itself. Now with the new 2010 DFI 997.2 Turbo out, more power can be pulled from that car too. The 6 cylinder, 3.8L engine offers much more to gain then what is in the 500HP engine of the PDK or 6speed cars. Softronic is one of the ONLY companies able to flash DFI (Direct Fuel Injection) cars through the OBDII port. In fact for this ECU Flash we provide you FREE of charge the Durametric Enthusiast Cable with this flash. All DFI cars require you to clear codes once you flash the car. And of course like all Softronic ECU Flashes, we provide you with the True Original File from your car as well as your new Tuned file so you don't have to worry about warranty. Softronic has been able to flash the DFI cars since the 2009 Carrera came out. Now with testing completed and maps developed, the 997.2 Turbo can be taken to a whole new level. The complexity of the maps and tuning of the DFI Turbo is much different then the earlier 997 Turbo. With the stock car making about .7bar of boost, the new flashed file holds a solid 1.0bar of boost. Having made changes to both the fueling and timing tables, we are able to get a safe and reliable increase of power to the car. With their Flasher Client software, Softronic is reading a full 1mb of the file to completely tune the ECU. Other companies claim to be able to do this, but are only read 128kb and making global changes. The ECU flash retains your factory SPORT mode function, but also increases your boost under normal use. For those worried about check engine lights, there are none! For those running a high flow cat exhaust system, Softronic raises the O2 levels which will remove the possibility of having a CEL from this type of exhaust. Once the car is flashed, the turbos will come on much quicker and the car will pull harder to the 500rpm increase of the redline. The overall improvement of drivability makes the 997.2 Turbo even more fun then it was originally. Since warranty is always a concern, Softronic also provides you with your original file. With this original file you can flash your car back to stock at any point. If you go to the dealer, there will be nothing visible through the Porsche PIWIS system. Softronic can program your vehicle no matter what country you are from or what octane you use. We have different maps for those running 91 octane or 93 octane and higher.
What are the benefits/functions of going with Softronic compared to the competition?
Softronic does not require the removal of your ECU from the car. There is no down time at all.
Your car can be flashed at your convenience from the comfort of your own garage.
Softronic reflashing is done via a Client Cable that is connected to the OBDII port. The customer simply plugs the cable into the car and reads the file with a laptop per the instructions with the cable. Once the file is downloaded, it is emailed to the Softronic secure server where the file is tuned and then emailed back to the client. The client simply uploads the file and they are done. Total process is about 1 hour.
Reflashing is done according to the vehicles octane level of pump gas and modifications are taken into account (Intake, Headers, Exhaust) to enhance power gains.

Softronic ECU Flash Porsche 997.2 Turbo S 2011-12
Coming from the factory with 530bhp in this Porsche Turbo S, it was already at a new level of quickness. Having tested on our dyno a 2010 Turbo PDK we were familiar with and where the baseline and ECU Flash tune would be approximately. Even though the Turbo S comes from the factory with 30 more horsepower, there is always more room to improve. Where Softronic excels is specific tuning in the 1000′s of maps to make sure the entire RPM range gains safe and reliable horsepower. Softronic had quoted a gain of going from 530bhp to 615bhp from just the flash. Typically the Mustang dyno has a 20-25% drivetrain loss. When running the Turbo in Sport Mode, the vehicles throttle response and low end torque is noticed on both the dyno and street, however based on EGT temps, Sport Mode can usually yield lower mid to top end power.
As a completely stock car, we did tests in both Standard and Sport Mode to show the difference in power gains. What we yielded was a peak of 541awhp and 534ft/lbs of torque with the Softronic flash in Standard Mode. This car actually exceed the typically drivetrain loss showing that the Softronic Flashed Turbo S was actually much stronger then expected. With Sport Mode on and an increase in boost pressure, the car spooled up quicker making peak torque at about 400rpm faster. However this then tapered off earlier as usual with cars in Sport Mode. Sport gave us a peak of 532awhp and 524ft/lbs of torque.
