The 992 GT3 Cup is Porsche’s latest one-make race car, introduced in 2021, succeeding the 991.2 GT3 Cup. It’s built exclusively for motorsport, competing in series such as the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and national Carrera Cup championships worldwide.
The Porsche 911 (992 GT3 Cup) 4.0L is Porsche’s latest factory-built race car, introduced in 2021 for the Mobil 1 Supercup and Carrera Cup series. Powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six, it produces around 510 bhp at 8,400 rpm with 470 Nm of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 6-speed sequential gearbox with paddle shifters, accompanied by a motorsport-tuned exhaust note.
Built for competition, the chassis uses the wide-body shell of the Turbo, constructed with lightweight aluminium and composite panels to achieve a race-ready weight of roughly 1,260 kg. Aerodynamics are optimised with an adjustable swan-neck rear wing, a deep front splitter, and a flat underbody.
The Cup car introduces double-wishbone front suspension for the first time, taken directly from the road-going 992 GT3. Braking is handled by endurance-grade steel rotors and calipers, with grip provided by 18-inch centre-lock BBS wheels fitted with Michelin race tyres.
Inside, the cockpit features an FIA-approved roll cage, racing seat, telemetry systems, and an air-jack setup. The 992 GT3 Cup serves as a proven global platform, bridging the gap between club racing and professional GT competition.
