Porsche has expanded its mid-engine lineup with the introduction of the new 718 (982) Cayman GTS PDK. These two-seater sports cars boast an enhanced power output of 365 horsepower, thanks to a newly developed intake system and optimized turbocharger for their 2.5ltr, four-cylinder boxer engines. This power increase translates to 15 more horsepower than the 718 S model and up to 35 more horsepower than their GTS predecessors with naturally aspirated engines. This model is fitted with the optional 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) double-clutch transmission.
Standard features include the Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with a mechanical rear axle limited slip differential, and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which lowers the body by ten millimeters. The maximum torque of 430Nm ensures responsive acceleration, particularly between 1900 and 5000 rpm, offering enhanced in-gear flexibility. With the PDK and Launch Control function, both GTS models can accelerate from zero to 62mph in just 4.1 seconds, with a top speed of 180mph. Additionally, they offer fuel efficiency of up to 34.4mpg Combined, corresponding to 186g/km CO2 emissions.
Visually, the GTS models stand out with a new Sport Design front apron and black-tinted Bi-Xenon headlights. At the rear, tinted tail lights, black logos, and centrally positioned black tailpipes of the standard sports exhaust system contribute to their distinct appearance. Black GTS logos and 20-inch wheels painted in satin black further differentiate these models. Inside, Alcantara-trimmed seats with GTS logos provide increased lateral support and comfort, complemented by Alcantara accents on the steering wheel, center console, and armrests. Additionally, the Porsche Track Precision App assists drivers with recording, displaying, and analyzing driving data on their smartphones.
