Brey-Krause's new Cayman Harness Truss is a unique mounting system that helps to position the driver using fixed attachment locations for harness straps. The unit is made of aluminum and stainless steel for superior strength and support, yet it is lighter than tubular or steel bars. It has been tested and certified to meet NHTSA load requirements. The R-1045 is easy to install and remove, utilizing existing factory mounting points.
The lattice is precision water-jet machined. It has been tested and certified to handle the types of forces required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration DOT and SAE J385 Rev.MAR 95, Motor Vehicle Seat Belt Anchorages-Performance Requirements.

What Do Brey-Krause Harness Mounts Do?
Harness mounting hardware ensures racing harnesses are anchored safely and correctly.
Core Functions:
- Provide secure mounting points for multi-point harnesses
- Maintain correct harness geometry and load paths
- Utilise factory or reinforced mounting locations
- Support track-day and motorsport safety requirements
- Enable reversible, non-invasive installation
Correct mounting is essential for harness effectiveness and driver safety.
Why Do Harness Mounting Components Fail?
Although built to high standards, mounting hardware can degrade or become unsafe.
Common Causes of Failure:
- Metal fatigue from repeated high-load use
- Incorrect installation or torque settings
- Corrosion from moisture or track exposure
- Wear at mounting points or fasteners
- Use beyond intended application or regulations
Compromised mounts can reduce harness effectiveness and increase injury risk.
When Should Brey-Krause Harness Mounting Be Replaced?
Brey-Krause harness mounting components should be replaced
when:
- Visible deformation, cracking, or corrosion is present
- Fasteners or mounting points show wear
- Harness geometry no longer meets safety guidelines
- Upgrading seats, harnesses, or roll-over protection
- Preparing a vehicle for track inspection or competition
Regular inspection ensures ongoing safety and compliance.
