9m 718 2.0/2.5 spin on oil filter adapter kit
Spin on oil filter adapter kit specifically developed to eliminate any potential failures of the the OEM paper filter element which is prone to breaking down and the fibres of the filter and can cause fragments of the paper being sucked into the engine which will cause engine failure or faults that require engine strip down.
This kit is to adapt the standard paper oil filter cartridge to a conventional metal screw on canister filter setup.
Highly efficient and a huge improvement over the standard paper unit, providing much improved oil filtration.
Together with regular service intervals can prolong engine life.
Kit includes
Threaded spin on adapter plate constructed from clear anodized, 6082T6 aerospace grade aluminium and OEM type, high quality metal canister oil filter with built in pressure relief valve.
Easy to install - simply remove/unscrew the black plastic cone shaped original paper filter housing, and replace with/screw in our adapter plate. The new canister oil filter then simply screws onto the threaded nut in the centre of the metal plate no more messy oil changes draining from the plastic spout.

Engine Tuning Oil Flow & Sump Parts – Precision Lubrication for Peak Porsche Performance
Your Porsche’s oil flow and sump system are the lifeblood of its engine — responsible for ensuring proper lubrication, cooling, and oil pressure during both everyday driving and high-performance conditions. When upgrading for tuning or racing, optimising your oil flow system is crucial to prevent oil starvation, maintain stable temperatures, and ensure long-term engine durability.
At Design911, we offer a range of precision-engineered oil flow and sump components designed to enhance engine reliability and performance under demanding conditions. Our collection includes baffled sumps, oil pickup pipes, flow restrictors, scavenge pumps, fittings, and gaskets — all made from high-grade, heat-resistant materials to withstand extreme pressures and temperatures.
These high-quality components are ideal for performance tuning, engine rebuilds, and track-focused upgrades, ensuring your Porsche maintains optimal lubrication even during aggressive cornering or sustained high RPM use.
What Do Oil Flow & Sump Parts Do?
The oil flow and sump system keeps the engine’s moving parts properly lubricated, reducing friction and dissipating heat.
Core Functions:
- Collects
and stores engine oil for continuous circulation.
- Maintains
consistent oil pressure across all engine components.
- Prevents
oil starvation during acceleration, braking, and cornering.
- Aids
in temperature control and heat dissipation.
- Ensures reliable lubrication for performance and longevity.
In tuned or track-driven engines, even a small improvement in oil control can make a major difference in performance and durability.
Why Do Oil Flow & Sump Components Fail?
Extreme heat, high RPM, and aggressive driving can stress oil flow systems beyond their limits. Over time, even precision-built components degrade due to oil contamination and thermal fatigue.
Common Causes of Failure Include:
- Cracked
or warped sump pans from impact or heat cycling.
- Worn
oil seals and gaskets causing leaks and pressure loss.
- Clogged
oil passages or pickups restricting flow.
- Oil
foaming or starvation under high lateral G-forces.
- Corrosion from moisture or degraded oil.
Symptoms of a failing sump or oil system include oil leaks, pressure fluctuations, engine noise, or reduced lubrication under load. Addressing these issues early prevents catastrophic engine damage.
Why Replace or Upgrade with Precision-Engineered Components?
Replacing or upgrading your Porsche’s oil flow and sump components ensures optimal lubrication and performance — especially when increasing power output or track-driving.
Key Benefits:
- Prevents oil starvation and pressure loss.
- Improves oil circulation for consistent lubrication.
- Reduces friction and engine wear.
- Maintains oil temperature under load.
- Direct-fit
compatibility for Porsche 911, Cayman, Boxster, Panamera and more models.
- Ideal for tuned, high-performance, or race-spec builds.
Our oil sump and flow components are built for precision, strength, and reliability, ensuring your Porsche engine performs flawlessly under any condition.
Highlights:
- Performance-engineered oil sumps, scavenge pumps, and flow parts.
- Baffled designs prevent oil starvation under cornering.
- Heat-resistant materials ensure long-term durability.
- Improves oil management and engine cooling.
- Perfect for performance tuning and endurance applications.
- Designed for precision fitment on all Porsche models.
