9m uprated billet aluminium 718 boost recirculation valve
Direct replacement for the factory plastic replacement recirculation valve which are prone to leaking boost pressure and can cause boost back feeding through the inlet plenum which can cause failures.
Unlike a Blow-off Valve (BOV) which vents back-flowing charged air to the atmosphere, a recirculation Valve protects the turbo compressor from being stalled by redirecting the back-flowing charged air to the turbo inlet pipe.
Plug and play fitment
Available in anodized black and red.

Porsche Diverter Valves - Turbo Pressure Control & Performance Upgrades
Diverter Valves are critical components in turbocharged Porsche engines, responsible for managing excess boost pressure when the throttle closes. By safely redirecting pressurised air back into the intake system, diverter valves protect the turbocharger, maintain boost response, and improve drivability.
Available from Design911, Porsche diverter valve upgrades are engineered to provide faster response, improved sealing, and greater durability than standard factory valves—making them essential for tuned, high-boost, and performance-driven applications.
What Do Diverter Valves Do?
Diverter valves regulate boost pressure during throttle changes in turbocharged engines.
Core Functions:
- Release excess boost pressure when the throttle closes.
- Protect turbochargers from compressor surge.
- Maintain turbo speed and boost response.
- Improve drivability during gear changes.
- Support consistent power delivery.
Proper diverter valve operation is vital for turbo reliability and performance.
Why Do Diverter Valves Fail?
Factory diverter valves are often built with plastic
housings and rubber diaphragms, which can degrade over time. Common failure
causes include:
- Diaphragm tearing or splitting under boost.
- Heat-related material degradation.
- Increased boost pressure from tuning.
- Slow valve response causing boost loss.
- Age-related wear and fatigue.
Failed diverter valves can result in loss of boost, hesitation, reduced performance, and turbocharger stress.
Why Upgrade to a Performance Diverter Valve?
Performance diverter valves are designed to handle higher boost levels with improved reliability.
Upgrade Benefits:
- Stronger construction using billet aluminium or reinforced materials.
- Improved sealing for consistent boost retention.
- Faster valve response for smoother power delivery.
- Increased durability for tuned and high-boost engines.
- Enhanced turbocharger protection.
Upgrading diverter valves restores performance and safeguards turbo components.
