The Porsche 992 turbo continues its reign as the pinnacle of all-weather sports cars, blending outstanding performance with the assurance of all-wheel drive. For the current iteration, Porsche has not only maintained but enhanced this legacy. With the same power output as the last turbo S and the inclusion of a sport-tuned version of Porsche Active Suspension Management, it's clear that this turbo is no slouch.
While it may offer slightly less power at 573 hp and torque at 553 ft lbs compared to the turbo S, these figures are still staggering and it's a more accessible option than its higher-end sibling. Yet, don't be fooled—the new turbo still boasts incredible performance, reaching 0-60 mph in just 2.7 seconds and topping out at 198 mph.
Porsche emphasises that the new turbo matches or even exceeds the packaging, performance, and technology of the previous 911 turbo S, coming impressively close to the 992 turbo S. Equipped with an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission and various optional technology packages, you can customise your Turbo to suit your preferences. With 572 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque, the Turbo offers a significant boost over the Carrera 4S, resulting in breathtaking straight-line performance. Its standard all-wheel-drive system and eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission ensure remarkable handling and acceleration. Plus, optional extras like rear-wheel steering, carbon-ceramic brakes, and Porsche Active Suspension Management Sport suspension further enhance its capabilities.
For those seeking even more performance, options like the Lightweight package and Sport package offer weight reduction and aesthetic enhancements. Meanwhile, the upgraded infotainment system with a 10.9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility adds modern convenience to the driving experience.
