What This Product Does / Benefits:
- The RFID chip inside the key ring acts similarly to a contactless charging card. When you position the key ring crest in front of an RFID reader at a charging station, it triggers the charging session.
- You still need a valid charging contract with Porsche Charging Service and to use the My Porsche app to register / activate the key ring.
- The key ring can be activated either by your smartphone (the phone recognizes the tag and helps register it) or by entering the serial number into your Porsche Charging Service / My Porsche account.
- Once activated, starting a charging session is as easy as holding the crest in front of the reader at the charger. Some chargers in the network support this “tap to charge” feature.
- Alternatively, you can always start the charging process via the My Porsche app.
