991.1 Carrera C4S 3.8L (400Bhp) 2012-16

The new all-wheel-drive 991.1 911 Carrera 4S is available in two versions, Coupe and Cabriolet variants. With a 3.8ltr rear-mounted boxer engine producing 400 hp, the 991.1 Carrera 4 S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds (Cabriolet: 4.3 seconds) and achieves a top speed of 299 km/h (Cabriolet: 296 km/h) when equipped accordingly. Fuel consumption values with PDK are 9.1 l/100 km for the Coupe and 9.2 l/100 km for the Cabriolet.

The Carrera 4S combines the performance of the new 911 Carrera with the dynamic benefits of the latest Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel-drive system. Despite higher engine and driving performance, all models consume significantly less fuel than previous versions, with savings of up to 16 percent. The lightweight body design, suspension, engines, and gearboxes remain identical to rear-wheel-drive versions, with modifications for all-wheel drive.

Distinctive features include wider rear wheel housings and tires, a new menu in the instrument cluster displaying PTM all-wheel-drive distribution, and optional Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Porsche Active Safe (PAS). Manual gearbox and Sport Chrono pack-equipped models offer even sportier performance in Sport Plus mode. The new all-wheel-drive models replace a successful previous generation, with advancements in powertrain technology, including direct petrol injection, Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) gearbox, and electronically controlled PTM.
