34-000403 cartridge type shock will fit all models of 944 but Porsche changed the design on the front in late '1986 to make them non-rebuild-able, so this insert type will not fit late 1986 on wards.

Note: If your car has sealed shocks it will require the top of the shock to be cut off in order to make it fit.
