Wiper stalk column switch. Porsche 914 / 924 › 91461391515
- Porsche 914 (1970-1976)
This OE Match wiper stalk column switch provides windscreen wiper and washer control for the Porsche 914.
Fits
- Porsche 914 - 1972 to 1976
Diagram ref no: 2
What This Product Does
Mounted at the steering column, this switch allows the driver to operate the windscreen wiping and washing systems. It is the wiper control component, rather than the separate indicator switch shown within the same assemblies.
Functions
- Provides stalk-operated control of the windscreen wipers.
- Operates the windscreen washer function.
Technical Details
- Brand: OE Match.
- 91461391514: wiper switch shown in the Porsche 914 1972–74 steering column assembly.
- 91461391515: wiper switch shown in the Porsche 914 1975>> steering column assembly.
Symptoms of Fault
- Wiper operation cuts in and out.
- One or more wiper settings do not respond.
- Washer activation is inconsistent.
- The stalk feels loose or fails to engage positively.
- Moving the control produces no response.
Why Replacement Matters
Repeated operation can wear the internal contacts and mechanical engagement points. Renewing a confirmed faulty switch addresses unreliable stalk control, but similar symptoms can originate in the wiring, connectors, fuses or other associated components. Establish the cause before replacing the switch.
FAQs
Does an unresponsive wiper always mean the stalk has failed?
No. Inspect the relevant fuses, connections and wiring, and check the switch outputs before deciding which component needs replacement.
What should be compared before fitting?
Check the original reference, vehicle year and connector arrangement. The supplied diagrams show different references for the earlier and later 914 assemblies.
Check fitment for your specific vehicle (model, year, engine) before ordering.
