Symptoms of Fault
Signs worth investigating include intermittent wiper response, unavailable speed settings or excessive looseness in the stalk. Similar symptoms can originate elsewhere in the electrical circuit, so diagnosis should precede replacement.
Why Replacement Matters
Renewing a confirmed faulty switch addresses worn contacts or a deteriorated operating mechanism. Inspect the wiring connections and associated wiper components before fitting a replacement.
FAQs
Does an unresponsive wiper system always indicate switch failure?
No. Check the fuses, connections, earth points and switch output before deciding which component needs replacement.
