The wheel carrier bears the load of braking, suspension forces, and wheel torque. Any compromise here can affect safety, braking stability, and wheel alignment.
Symptoms of Failure:
• Uneven or rapid tyre wear
• Vehicle pulling to one side / poor alignment
• Clunking or knocking noises over bumps
• Vibrations in steering wheel
• ABS / traction control warning lights
• Braking instability or pulling under braking
• Visible cracks, bends, or damage after impact
When to Replace:
• After accidents / collisions – especially front-end or wheel area impacts
• When alignment cannot be corrected despite multiple attempts
• If cracks, bends, or corrosion are found during inspection
• When suspension components don’t fit correctly (hub, bearings, ball joints, control arms)
If you experience steering pull, abnormal tyre wear, vibrations, or braking instability, it’s time to have the knuckle inspected.
