The oil cooler forms an important part of the engine lubrication and temperature-control system. Its job is to transfer excess heat away from the engine oil, while the associated seals ensure that oil remains securely contained as it passes through the cooler assembly.
Although the seal itself is a relatively small component, deterioration can result in engine oil leakage around the oil cooler. Replacing an ageing, hardened or damaged seal helps restore sealing integrity and protect the engine from progressive oil loss.
What This Product Does:
The oil cooler seal creates a secure barrier between the oil cooler and its mating engine component, preventing engine oil from escaping at the connection.
