Vent Hose.
The Genuine Porsche Vent Hose is a replacement cooling-system hose used within the coolant expansion-tank circuit of selected Porsche Cayenne 957 4.8-litre V8 models.

This hose connects into the engine cooling system and provides a controlled route between the coolant expansion tank and the engine cooling circuit. It helps manage coolant and displaced air as the cooling system heats, expands, cools and contracts.
Although commonly described as a vent hose, breather hose or coolant overflow hose, this component belongs to the engine cooling system. It is not a crankcase ventilation hose.
Correct venting is important because trapped air can interfere with coolant circulation and make the system difficult to bleed properly. The hose also needs to remain fully sealed so that coolant is retained and the pressurised cooling system can operate correctly.
Repeated exposure to hot coolant, cooling-system pressure and engine-bay temperatures can eventually cause the hose material to harden, split, swell or leak.
Replacing a deteriorated hose helps restore reliable coolant-system venting, correct expansion-tank operation and a sealed cooling circuit.
What This Product Does:
The vent hose forms part of the coolant expansion and deaeration circuit.
It is designed to:
- Connect the coolant expansion tank to the engine cooling circuit.
- Allow coolant and displaced air to move through the system.
- Help vent trapped air from the cooling circuit.
- Support correct cooling-system bleeding.
- Help maintain stable coolant pressure.
- Maintain a sealed coolant circuit.
- Support correct expansion-tank operation.
- Help prevent coolant loss.
- Replace a cracked, brittle or leaking original hose.
- Support stable engine operating temperature.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
Possible symptoms include:
- Visible coolant leakage.
- Dampness around the hose or its connections.
- Dried pink, white or coloured coolant residue.
- Sweet coolant smell from the engine compartment.
- Gradual coolant-level loss.
