The turbochargers are sold individually, allowing you to replace only the affected side when required.
Fits:
Porsche 991.2 Carrera / Carrera 4 / Carrera T 3.0L 2017 - 2019
* engine code: DCK, DCKA
These turbochargers replace earlier Porsche references and are ideal for restoring boost pressure, performance and factory turbocharging reliability with Genuine Porsche quality.
What This Part Does / Functions
• Uses exhaust gas energy to drive the compressor wheel
• Pressurises intake air before it enters the engine
• Helps deliver factory boost pressure and engine output
• Supports throttle response and torque delivery
• Works with the charge air, wastegate and engine management systems
• Replaces a worn, noisy, smoking or failed original turbocharger
• Provides correct Genuine Porsche fitment and specification

• Check engine light or turbocharger-related fault codes
• Oil leakage around the turbocharger or charge air system
• Poor throttle response or limp mode
• Excessive shaft play confirmed during inspection.
When to Replace This Part
• If the turbocharger has failed mechanically
• If diagnostic testing confirms boost pressure or wastegate faults
• If oil seal failure causes smoke or oil contamination
• If compressor or turbine wheel damage is found
• If the turbocharger has excessive bearing play
• During major engine or exhaust system repairs

What This Product Does:
- Secures the charge air cooler and boost pipe connection.
- Maintains a leak-free pressurised intake system.
- Prevents boost hoses from separating under pressure.
- Ensures correct positioning of intercooler pipework.
- Supports efficient turbocharger operation.
- Helps maintain consistent boost pressure.
- Restores factory intercooler retention.
- Forms an essential part of the turbocharged intake system.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Loose charge air cooler or boost pipe connections.
- Boost pressure leaks.
- Hissing noise under acceleration.
- Reduced engine power.
- Increased turbo lag.
- Engine management or check engine warning light.
- Underboost fault codes.
- Corrosion or loss of spring tension.
- Intercooler hose becoming detached.
- Reduced engine efficiency and fuel economy.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The retaining spring is subjected to constant engine vibration, high boost pressures and repeated heating and cooling cycles. Over time, the spring can weaken, corrode or become distorted, reducing its ability to securely retain the charge air cooler connection.
- A weakened retaining spring can allow boost pressure to escape or permit intercooler pipework to disconnect under load. This can result in reduced turbocharger performance, increased fuel consumption, poor engine response and engine management faults. In severe cases, a disconnected charge air pipe can leave the vehicle with significantly reduced power.
- Replacing a worn or damaged retaining spring with a Genuine Porsche component restores the correct clamping force and ensures secure retention of the charge air cooler assembly. Manufactured to Porsche's exact engineering standards, the Genuine Porsche Retaining Spring for Charge Air Cooler provides factory-correct fitment, exceptional durability and dependable long-term reliability, helping maintain optimum boost pressure, engine performance and the driving characteristics expected from your Porsche.
