What This Product Does
The mount connects the gearbox with its supporting structure, allowing controlled compliance while resisting excessive powertrain displacement. Its rubber element helps isolate vibration rather than transferring it directly into the body.
Functions
- Supports the transmission within its mounting assembly.
- Restrains gearbox movement as drivetrain loads change.
- Helps isolate vibration between the powertrain and body.
- Helps maintain the intended drivetrain alignment.
Technical Details
- Part reference: 8K0399151DB.
- Brand: OE Match.
- Component identification: bonded rubber bush for the transmission carrier.
- 95B.1 petrol diagram applications: 3.0L / 3.6L, 2014–18; CTMA, CTM, CTLA, CTL, DCNA, DCN, DHKA, DHK.
- 95B.1 diesel diagram applications: 3.0L Diesel, 2014–18; CDUD, CTBA, CTBB, CTBC.
Symptoms of Fault
- A knock when drive is taken up or released.
- Unusual vibration felt inside the vehicle.
- More powertrain movement than expected during inspection.
- Split rubber, separation or visible deformation of the mount.
- A harsher sensation during gear changes.
Why Replacement Matters
A deteriorated mount can allow unwanted gearbox displacement and place additional strain on adjoining components. Replacement addresses worn transmission support; inspect the remaining mounts, brackets and fixings at the same time. OE Match develops replacement components around Porsche applications, with specification and fitment assessment forming part of its selection process.
FAQs
Does vibration necessarily indicate gearbox damage?
No. Mount deterioration can produce similar symptoms, so establish the cause before replacing transmission components.
Will replacing this mount cure gear crunching?
Not necessarily. Internal wear or other transmission-related faults require separate diagnosis.
Should other mounts be inspected?
Yes. Check the complete support assembly and renew other components where their condition requires it.
