Machined from high-quality materials to ensure strength and long service life, the flywheel acts as a rotating mass attached to the crankshaft, storing kinetic energy and providing a stable platform for clutch engagement. Its 225 mm clutch contact surface is designed to maintain factory performance characteristics and reliable operation.
What This Product Does:
- Transfers engine torque to the clutch and transmission.
- Provides the friction surface for clutch engagement.
- Stores rotational energy to smooth engine operation.
- Helps maintain stable engine idle characteristics.
- Reduces drivetrain vibration and harshness.
- Supports smooth gear changes and clutch performance.
- Contributes to efficient power delivery and drivability.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Clutch shudder or judder during take-off.
- Excessive vibration through the drivetrain.
- Difficulty achieving smooth clutch engagement.
- Hot spots or scoring on the flywheel surface.
- Premature clutch wear.
- Burning clutch odours during operation.
- Rattling or knocking noises from the bellhousing area.
- Warped clutch friction surface.
- Uneven clutch pedal feel or engagement characteristics.
- Reduced overall driving refinement.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The flywheel is subjected to continuous engine torque, clutch friction and repeated heat cycles throughout its service life. Over time, the friction surface can become worn, heat-damaged, cracked or warped, affecting clutch performance and overall drivability.
- A damaged flywheel can lead to clutch vibration, poor engagement characteristics and accelerated wear of the clutch disc and pressure plate. Installing a new clutch on a worn flywheel may result in reduced clutch lifespan and continued drivability issues. In severe cases, excessive wear or damage can compromise drivetrain reliability and increase repair costs.
- Replacing a worn flywheel restores smooth clutch operation, improves gear engagement and helps maximise the performance and longevity of the clutch system. An OE Match replacement provides factory-style fitment, precise balancing and durable construction, ensuring dependable operation and preserving the driving experience expected from your Porsche.

Constructed from high-quality bearing materials and engineered to withstand continuous rotational forces, vibration and temperature fluctuations, the spigot bearing reduces friction between the engine and transmission assemblies. Proper operation of this component is essential for smooth gear changes and long-term drivetrain reliability.
What This Product Does:
- Supports and centres the gearbox input shaft.
- Maintains correct alignment between the engine and transmission.
- Reduces friction between rotating drivetrain components.
- Allows smooth rotation of the transmission input shaft.
- Helps ensure smooth clutch engagement and disengagement.
- Minimises wear on gearbox and clutch components.
- Contributes to reliable drivetrain operation and longevity.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Squealing, whining or grinding noises from the bellhousing area.
- Noise that changes when the clutch pedal is operated.
- Difficulty engaging gears, particularly first or reverse.
- Transmission input shaft vibration.
- Clutch drag or incomplete clutch disengagement.
- Rough or inconsistent gear changes.
- Excessive wear on the clutch disc or gearbox input shaft.
- Increased drivetrain vibration.
- Premature wear of associated transmission components.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The flywheel spigot bearing operates continuously whenever the engine is running and plays a vital role in maintaining proper alignment between the engine and gearbox. Over time, bearing surfaces can wear, lubrication can deteriorate and contamination may affect bearing performance, leading to increased friction and misalignment.
- A worn spigot bearing can cause difficult gear selection, clutch disengagement issues and accelerated wear of the gearbox input shaft and clutch components. If left unresolved, bearing failure may lead to costly transmission repairs and reduced drivetrain reliability.
