Diagram ref no 14
This is a small OE Porsche body hardware component used in the front bumper assembly.
What This Part Does / Functions
• Provides a retained fixing point for front bumper fasteners
• Helps secure bumper trim, supports or related mounting parts
• Supports correct front bumper alignment and assembly
• Replaces a missing, corroded, bent or weakened original speed nut
• Helps prevent loose bumper fixings and rattles
• Provides correct Original Porsche fastening specification
• Supports correct reassembly after bumper removal
• Helps maintain factory Porsche front-end fitment.
Why Replace This Part?
Speed nuts can become corroded, bent, stripped or lost during bumper removal, paintwork, accident repair or front-end servicing. If a speed nut is damaged or missing, the bumper fixing screw may not tighten correctly, which can lead to poor panel fitment, looseness or vibration.
Replacing it with an Original Porsche speed nut helps restore the correct factory fixing arrangement.
When to Replace This Part
• During front bumper removal and refitting
• When replacing bumper supports, trim or front-end hardware
• If the original speed nut is corroded, damaged or missing
• After accident repair or bumper paintwork
• If a bumper screw cannot be secured properly
• During Porsche 993 front-end restoration.
Where It Fits on the Car
This speed nut fits in the front bumper assembly of the Porsche 993. It is shown in Porsche front bumper diagrams as diagram reference no. 14.
Correct installation helps ensure the bumper hardware tightens properly and the bumper assembly sits securely.
