One of the most common problems is ABS/PASM light coming on and it says it is the right front sensor with a reading out of range. If you switched the left front and right front sensors and still getting the same fault code. Next course of action is going to be to replace the wiring going to the sensor since assuming there is a break in the wires or a short.

The ABS Speed Sensor provides speed information to auxiliary systems ABS to help calculate the distance covered. A fault in the sensor causes failure of these systems. This has a considerable negative effect on safety.

What This Product Does
The sensor measures wheel rotation and supplies that information to the ABS control unit. Wheel-speed signals also provide an input for traction and stability control. A missing or inconsistent signal can trigger system warnings and requires diagnosis.
Functions
- Measures rotational speed at the wheel.
- Transmits wheel-speed information to the ABS controller.
- Provides data used by traction and stability systems.
Technical Details
- Component: ABS wheel speed sensor.
- Left reference: 95560640512.
- Right reference: 95560640612.
- Both references appear in front and rear wheel-hub assemblies for the supplied 955 and 957 applications.
- Left and Right references identify different versions; select the reference for the required side.
Symptoms of Fault
- Illuminated ABS or PSM warning lamps.
- Intermittent or unexpected traction-control intervention.
- Unreliable wheel-speed readings during diagnostic checks.
These symptoms do not establish that the sensor itself has failed. Damaged cables, corroded terminals, poor connections or faults around the sensor ring can produce similar indications.
Why Replacement Matters
Renewing a confirmed faulty sensor addresses the source of an unreliable wheel-speed signal. OE Match focuses on Porsche replacement applications, using original references and vehicle specifications to assess suitability. Confirm the required side and inspect surrounding wiring and connections before fitting.
FAQs
- Which reference matches each side?
95560640512 identifies the Left version; 95560640612 identifies the Right version. - Are these references used at the front or rear?
The supplied diagrams identify both references in front and rear wheel-hub assemblies. Match the reference to the vehicle and repair position. - Should the sensor ring be checked?
Yes. Inspect the ring, connector and nearby wiring when investigating an unreliable signal rather than relying on a fault code alone. - Are bolts or seals included?
The supplied information does not specify included mounting hardware or seals.
