Slip-on system (S-PO/TI/15) for GT3 RS OPF model must be mandatory combined with:
- Evolution Header Set (E-PO/T/6)
- Tail pipe set TP-T/S/19. When combining the slip-on system with optional carbon fibre diffuser DI-PO/CA/7/G, you must use tail pipe set TP-T/S/17.
- An additional original Porsche stock bracket (Porsche p/n: 99111147391) is required for mounting the Akrapovič exhaust system. Please read the instructions carefully before the start of the installation.
This Slip-On system (S-PO/TI/15) must be upgraded into a full Akrapovič Evolution Line exhaust system by combining it with the Evolution Header Set (E-PO/T/6) with side mufflers and valves, which is designed to unleash the system's full potential and enhance the performance of the car as the revs rise. With superb attention to detail, including parts cast in Akrapovič's own titanium foundry, the craftsmanship and coating finish on the system is a joy to behold. With an exhaust manifold incorporating 100 cpsi sports catalytic convertors and side mufflers, the Evolution Line utilizes integrated catalytic convertors and the functionality of the exhaust valves to deliver an out-and-out attack on the senses. It offers increased weight savings in the area behind the engine and rear axle. The Evolution Line is also tuned to deliver a sporty and hard-hitting sound. The more the engine is revved and the acceleration builds, the six-cylinder engine sound delivers a rich, harmonic, and high-frequency soundtrack, making every journey a memorable experience and one that continues even after the throttle is released, providing a full and rewarding sensory experience.
When installing Akrapovič aftermarket optional link pipes with sports catalytic converters or without catalytic converters, which are developed for use on closed tracks only, remapping the ECU is mandatory. When installing Akrapovič aftermarket exhaust system that was developed for use on closed tracks, we recommend remapping the ECU in order to prevent potential »check engine light« warning signals.

DesignTek Secondary Exhaust Muffler Bypass for Porsche 991 S 3.8L

These simple U/J pipes remove the mufflers that are tucked up in the rear quarter panels. Why the reason for these I do not know. Typically in the past we either see a main centre muffler or 2 mufflers with catalyst pipes. So this was the first simplest part to change out. Keeping the same diameter for a perfect OEM replacement, these pipes are straight through which not only eliminates any muffler packing or baffling, but also the weight. Each stock muffler weighs approximately 15.6lbs. The Designtek Secondary Exhaust Muffler Bypass Pipes are about 3lbs each. Now eliminating restriction, we have also saved about 25lbs off the rear end. Because this part still retained the factory headers with cats and the factory center muffler, it added a slightly deeper tone to the exhaust but not a drastic droning change that a full exhaust could. Upon revving the car out stationary and on the dyno, you could hear the tone change nicely as you past the 4000rpm mark.
Garage Notes: The pipes sometimes rub on the heatshields causing a resonation through the car. This can be sorted by redressing the heatshields but isn't a straight forward bolt up and go replacement.
The sound its self is quite impressive and very sporty from the outside but to drive causes a pretty bad droning sound under normal driving conditions. This exhaust peaks at 101decibels
According to the factories dyno test, the secondary muffler bypass pipes really start achieving performance from 3700rpm all the way to redline. With a baseline test in 3rd gear and all wheel drive (have to for the dyno and no warning lights), the car made 344HP and 289ft/lbs of torque. Based on the ambient temperature, the factories Mustang Dyno, and 91octane fuel, this is about right considering the car comes with 400bhp. With the addition of our pipes, the car put down 358HP and 298ft/lbs of torque gaining 14HP and 9ft/lbs at the peak.
