It provides a cushioning effect when the suspension approaches the end of its travel, helping protect the shock absorber and surrounding components from damage.
What Does It Do?
The bump stop cushions the suspension during heavy compression, reducing the risk of the shock absorber reaching the end of its travel abruptly.
Why Does It Fail?
Common causes include:
- Age-related material deterioration
- Repeated suspension compression
- Exposure to road dirt and moisture
- Cracking or splitting
- Damage during shock absorber removal
When Should It Be Replaced?
Replace if the bump stop is cracked, crumbling, compressed or missing.
Inspection is recommended when replacing shock absorbers, springs or other suspension components.
Checks & Diagnosis
Inspect the bump stop for visible deterioration and check the shock absorber for leaks or damage.
Harsh impacts over bumps or excessive suspension bottoming may indicate worn suspension components requiring investigation.

Information
Rennline Clubsport Camber Plate Top Mount Set.
SET OF 2
Fits:
Porsche 991/981/718 2WD except GT3/GT4
Whether you use your car on the street or the track, optimum camber settings are critical for both performance and tire wear during spirited street driving and at the track. These plates were designed for 991/981 owners looking to achieve additional camber without needing to change to GT3-style adjustable control arms. By using an offset bearing housing, the range of possible camber adjustment is shifted to provide an additional 1.1 degrees of camber at all OEM-equivalent settings.
These mounts are CNC machined in house from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for maximum strength while keeping weight to a minimum. Precision teflon lined bearings are held in place with a two-part threaded housing which eliminates the issues commonly associated with camber plates that utilize a snap ring such as excessive noise and premature failure. This also minimizes camber changes under load meaning you have more precise alignment settings when it matters most.
Designed specifically for cars using factory shocks and any aftermarket setup designed to work with OEM mounts, this is the easiest and simplest way to gain camber in your 991/981 car. In addition, by making camber changes at the top of the strut instead of at the control arm, caster changes are minimized resulting in an easier setup and minimizing necessary modifications.
• 1.1* increase in negative camber at factory settings results in greater range of adjustment
• CNC machined housings
• Fully compatible with factory and aftermarket shock/spring kits utilizing factory mounts
• Equalize tire wear and maximize traction at once
• Precision teflon-lined spherical bearing
• Reduced compliance results in more precise handling and alignment

Information
Front shock absorber bump stop.
The Genuine OE Porsche front shock absorber bump stop, part number 99134330103, is an original Porsche suspension component designed to protect the front shock absorber assembly from excessive compression under heavy suspension load. Installed on the front suspension strut, this high-quality polyurethane/rubber stop acts as a secondary cushioning element, helping to prevent metal-to-metal contact during aggressive driving, hard braking, uneven road surfaces, or full suspension travel.
Sold individually, 2 required - fits left or right suspension strut
Fits:
Porsche 981 Boxster 2012 - 2016 cars with PASM
Porsche 981C Cayman 2014 - 2016 cars with PASM
Porsche 982 Boxster 2017>> cars with PASM
Porsche 982C Cayman 2017>> cars with PASM
Porsche 991.1 Carrera / Turbo 2012 - 2016 cars with PASM (excluding standard and sport type chassis)
Porsche 991.2 Carrera / Turbo 2017 - 2019 cars with PASM (excluding standard and sport type chassis)
Diagram ref no 6
This component is essential for maintaining ride quality, suspension stability, and correct shock absorber operation. Over time, bump stops can deteriorate due to heat cycles, age, moisture, and repeated suspension compression, leading to cracking, collapse, or reduced cushioning performance. Replacing worn bump stops helps restore proper suspension protection and ensures the shock absorber can operate correctly throughout its full range of movement.
Functions & Technical Role
• Protects the front shock absorber during full suspension compression
• Prevents harsh bottoming-out impacts
• Helps maintain correct suspension geometry under load
• Reduces shock absorber and strut damage caused by excessive travel
• Assists with vibration damping and ride refinement
• Supports optimal PASM suspension performance
• OE-quality material construction for long-term durability
Fitment / Position on car
• Front suspension
• Fits left or right side
• Mounted on the front shock absorber/strut assembly
The front bump stop is a critical protective component within the Porsche suspension system. During heavy cornering, sudden impacts, aggressive driving, or rough road conditions, the suspension can compress rapidly. Without a properly functioning bump stop, excessive suspension travel can damage the shock absorber, strut mount, spring assembly, and other suspension components.
A deteriorated or collapsed bump stop may also lead to harsh suspension noises, reduced ride comfort, poor damping control, and premature shock absorber wear. Replacing worn bump stops with Genuine Porsche components helps maintain factory suspension performance, protects expensive suspension hardware, and preserves the precise handling characteristics Porsche vehicles are known for.
When to replace. Replace the front shock absorber bump stop if you notice:
• Cracked, split, or crumbling rubber material
• Suspension knocking or bottoming-out noises
• Excessive harshness over bumps
• Oil leaks or damage around the shock absorber
• Suspension overhaul or shock absorber replacement
• Visible compression damage or deterioration
• Reduced suspension damping performance
• High mileage or ageing suspension components
