This replacement hose is intended for vehicles already equipped with the IPD aluminium intake plenum, allowing a worn, damaged or deteriorated hose to be replaced without purchasing the complete plenum assembly.
The hose forms part of the engine's induction system, helping maintain a secure, airtight connection and allowing the upgraded IPD intake system to operate as intended.
Please note: This product is the replacement hose only. The IPD aluminium intake plenum, throttle body and other intake components are not included.
What Does the Replacement Intake Hose Do?
The hose provides a flexible connection within the IPD intake plenum installation, helping maintain the integrity of the induction system.
A correctly fitted hose helps prevent unwanted air leaks and supports consistent engine operation, throttle response and boost performance.
Why Does the Hose Fail?
Over time, intake hoses can deteriorate due to engine heat, vibration and repeated temperature changes.
Common causes of failure include:
- Cracking or splitting through age
- Heat-related deterioration
- Damage during installation or removal
- Loose or incorrectly fitted hose connections
- Distortion or loss of flexibility
- General wear from engine movement and vibration
A damaged hose can allow air to escape or enter the intake system where it should not, potentially affecting engine performance.
When Should It Be Replaced?
Replacement is recommended if the existing hose shows visible cracks, splits, distortion or damage.
Other possible symptoms include air leaks, unusual induction noises, inconsistent boost response or reduced engine performance.
Inspect the hose and its connections during routine servicing or whenever the IPD plenum is removed.
Designed for use with the IPD 74mm aluminium intake plenum, reference 91274.2.
Not intended as a direct replacement for the original Porsche factory intake hose without the corresponding IPD plenum installation.
Porsche 991.2 Turbo & Turbo S IPD Intake Plenum Replacement Parts
The IPD aluminium intake plenum is a performance upgrade developed to improve intake airflow and engine response on Porsche 991.2 Turbo and Turbo S models.
Maintaining the condition of the connecting intake hoses is important for preserving the integrity of the induction system. Damaged or deteriorated hoses can create air leaks, potentially affecting engine performance and boost response.
This replacement hose is intended for the IPD 74mm aluminium intake plenum, part number 91274.2, allowing owners to replace the hose separately rather than purchasing another complete intake assembly.
Ideal for routine maintenance, intake system repairs and refurbishment of existing IPD performance upgrades.
Design911 supplies IPD Porsche intake plenums, replacement hoses, induction components and associated performance parts for Porsche 911 Turbo models.
