Check fitment for your specific vehicle (model, year, engine) before ordering.
What This Product Does
The lens forms the exposed reflective element at the rear bumper. It returns incident light towards its source rather than producing light like a powered rear lamp, and forms part of the bumper's exterior finish.
Functions
- Reflects light directed towards the rear bumper.
- Replaces a damaged lens at the quarter-bumper reflector position.
- Supports refurbishment of the original rear exterior appearance.
Technical Details
- Brand: OE Match.
- Component: replacement rear bumper reflector lens.
- Supplied references: 90163301000 / 90163301000001.
- Internal diagram applications: Porsche 911 1969 and 1970–73.
Symptoms of Fault
- Chipped, fractured or broken lens surfaces.
- Fading or dullness across the reflective area.
- Movement or rattling around damaged retaining points.
- Staining or accumulated moisture behind the reflector.
Why Replacement Matters
A cracked or faded lens warrants inspection during rear bumper repairs or restoration. Renewing the affected component addresses visible deterioration, while checking the surrounding mounting area helps identify damaged fixings or trapped dirt that also need attention.
FAQs
Does this replace a complete rear lamp?
No. The supplied product information identifies a replacement reflector lens, not a powered lamp assembly.
Are all early 911 reflectors interchangeable?
Do not assume compatibility from appearance alone. Confirm the vehicle details, original reference and mounting arrangement before fitting.
What else should be inspected?
Examine the adjacent rubber, retainers and mounting surfaces for deterioration. Clean away trapped debris and check for moisture before reassembly.
