Manufactured from high-quality black powder-coated aluminium mesh, these precision-engineered radiator screens fit discreetly behind the original bumper openings to protect delicate cooling components from stones, leaves, insects, road debris and track-day hazards. The result is long-term protection with a subtle OEM-inspired finish that complements the sporting character of the 981 GTS.
What Do Radiator Grilles Do?
Radiator grilles act as a protective barrier between the
road and your Porsche's cooling system. Positioned behind the front bumper air
intakes, they help to:
- Protect radiators and air conditioning condensers from stone impacts.
- Prevent leaves, insects and road debris from blocking cooling fins.
- Maintain efficient airflow for optimum engine cooling.
- Reduce the risk of costly radiator and condenser repairs.
- Enhance the appearance of the front bumper with a discreet factory-style finish.
This simple upgrade helps safeguard one of the most exposed areas of your Porsche without affecting cooling performance.
Why Are Porsche Radiators Vulnerable?
The Porsche 981 GTS features large front bumper air intakes
that provide exceptional cooling but leave delicate aluminium radiator cores
exposed to everyday hazards, including:
- Stone strikes from passing traffic.
- Loose gravel and road debris.
- Leaves and insects restricting airflow.
- Dirt and moisture accelerating corrosion.
- Bent cooling fins reducing cooling efficiency.
- Damage sustained during spirited road driving and track use.
Installing radiator grille protection significantly reduces the risk of impact damage and helps extend the life of your cooling system.
