Porsche 996 GT2 2000–05
Porsche 996 GT3 2000–05

Before ordering, confirm compatibility using the vehicle model, production year, engine and applicable part references.
What This Product Does
Hydraulic pressure from the steering pump passes through this hose into the steering circuit. Its role is to carry the fluid within a sealed connection so the system can provide steering assistance. It is a pressure hose, rather than a return pipe or fluid cooler.
Functions
- Routes pressurised fluid from the pump towards the steering system.
- Provides the hydraulic connection at the rear pump position.
- Retains fluid within the pressure-side connection.
Technical Details
- Brand: genuine Porsche.
- Product reference: 99634744354.
- Position: Rear, at the power steering pump.
- Listed applications: 996 Turbo, GT2 and GT3, 2000–05.
- Earlier part references: 99634744352 and 99634744353.
- Approximate weight: 0.236 kg.
Symptoms of Fault
- Fluid collecting underneath the car.
- Wet patches at hose joints or crimped ends.
- Pump whining accompanied by a falling fluid level.
- Increased effort when turning the steering wheel.
- Visible hose cracks, rubbing damage or ageing.
These signs are not exclusive to this hose. Inspect the hydraulic circuit to identify the source before replacing components.
Why Replacement Matters
A leaking pressure connection can reduce the fluid supply available for steering assistance. Renewing a damaged hose addresses that leak and restores the intended fluid path. During the repair, examine adjacent pipework and connection seals, and check the remaining hoses for deterioration. Route the replacement correctly without twisting it; contaminated fluid should also be addressed.

FAQs
When should the hydraulic circuit be flushed?
Flushing is advisable if the fluid is contaminated or its condition indicates renewal is needed. Follow the applicable service procedure.
Which seals should be fitted?
Fit replacement O-rings or sealing washers where required by the connection specification.
Does changing this hose require wheel alignment?
Replacing only the hydraulic hose does not usually change wheel geometry. An alignment check may be appropriate if other steering or suspension parts are disturbed.
