What This Product Does:
- The track rod connects the steering rack to the steering knuckle, transmitting the lateral motion that turns your wheels. The ball joint portion allows the rod to articulate smoothly over vertical suspension travel.
- In RS / high-performance or lowered setups, stock tie rods may introduce bump steer (unwanted steering input as suspension moves). This track rod is designed to maintain proper steering geometry under altered suspension conditions, minimizing bump steer.
- Because it uses a ball joint, it provides reliable articulation with less unwanted flex or play than older or worn rubber-jointed rods.
- Steering play or looseness — especially in the front end, sometimes felt as vague or sloppy steering.
- Clunks or knocks from the front end when driving over bumps or during steering changes.
- Variable alignment or pull — the car may drift or pull, or alignment might not hold under load.
- Uneven tire wear on the front wheels, especially the inner or outer edges, due to steering geometry changing under load.
- Reduced steering precision and degraded feedback, especially under dynamic driving.
- Restores precise steering geometry — especially in cars with suspension modifications, lowering, or performance setups.
- Reduces bump steer — ensures that as the suspension compresses and rebounds, the wheels don’t change direction inadvertently.
- Improves durability & reliability — a new ball joint / tie rod is safer, less prone to play or failure than an old or worn one.
- Better feedback & control — firmer, more immediate steering response under varying conditions.
- Necessary for RS / track / high-spec builds — to preserve the performance intent of upgraded front ends and steering knuckles.

Kit includes: 1x Tapered Stud, 1 x Upper Lock Nut, 1 x Lower Lock Nut, 2 x Stud Spacers/Washers.
USER NOTE: A new 382 Kit should be installed once ball joint pin has been removed from hub.
