What This Product Does:
- The lower control arm rear bushing sits at the pivot or mount of the control arm on the front suspension. Its job is to allow controlled articulation of the arm while also restraining unwanted movement.
- By using a solid or high-density material instead of a standard soft rubber, the bushing significantly reduces unwanted flex or compliance. As a result, the suspension geometry (camber, toe, alignment) remains more stable under load (cornering, acceleration, braking).
- Less compliance in this mount means the front suspension reacts more precisely to driver input and chassis motion, improving handling stability, especially in modified or performance-oriented setups.
Symptoms & When To Need It:
- Front end feeling loose or vague in corners; the car may “step out” or have inconsistent behavior under heavy load.
- Uneven or accelerated tyre wear on the front due to alignment changing under load.
- The front suspension feels soft or sloppy, especially if the car has been lowered or has stiffer springs/anti-roll bars installed.
- The original rubber bushing shows signs of wear: cracking, splitting, excessive compression, or visible deformation.
