Porsche 997.1 Rear Bumper Splitters - OEM-Respecting Aero Enhancement for the Wide Body Rear Bumper
Rear bumper splitters for the Porsche 997.1 are exterior
aerodynamic accessories designed to boost the visual presence and performance
character of your 997.1 911 while providing functional benefits beyond style.
Fits:
Not compatible with GT3, GT2, Speedster, Turbo or vehicles with aftermarket bumpers.
Manufactured to integrate seamlessly with the factory rear bumper lines, these splitters bolt on quickly with no drilling or modification required, making them a popular add-on for enthusiasts seeking a subtle yet impactful upgrade.
What Rear Bumper Splitters Do
Rear bumper splitters attach to the lower edge of the rear
bumper and serve multiple roles:
- Enhance the rear visual stance with a sportier, more aggressive look
- Improve rear aerodynamic balance when fitted with complementary aero parts
- Shield the rear bumper from road debris and kerb scuffs
- Maintain the classic Porsche silhouette while modernising the rear appearance
Unlike full diffusers, these splitters focus on refining airflow and reinforcing the rear bumper’s visual strength, respecting the original design language of the 997.1 platform.
Why You Should Upgrade to Rear Splitters
Standard factory rear bumpers offer minimal aerodynamic
shaping and protection at speed. Upgrading to rear bumper splitters is ideal if
you want to:
- Add a more aggressive and refined exterior look that flows with Porsche design
- Protect vulnerable bumper edges from rock chips and minor impacts
- Complement other exterior upgrades such as front lips, side skirts or rear spoilers
- Improve perceived aerodynamic balance without a full racing diffuser setup
- Increase resale appeal by showcasing thoughtful exterior enhancements
Unlike race-only parts, these splitters are engineered for road use while echoing motorsport inspiration — a perfect balance for both street and occasional performance driving.
Easy Installation and Quality Fitment
Rear bumper splitters for the 997.1 are designed to:
- Bolt directly to the factory rear bumper
- Respect OEM panel lines without cutting or trimming
- Require minimal installation time (typically 10–15 minutes per side)
- Work with narrow and wide body rear bumpers depending on your 997.1 variant
This makes them an accessible upgrade for DIY enthusiasts and professional workshops alike.
