The OE Match Radiator Air Conditioning Condenser is a replacement air-conditioning condenser for selected Porsche Cayenne 957 petrol models from 2007–2010.
Fits:- Porsche 957 Cayenne 2007 - 2010 (not for Diesel models)
Mounted at the front of the vehicle where it receives cooling airflow, the condenser performs a similar heat-exchange function to a radiator but forms part of the air-conditioning refrigerant circuit rather than the engine cooling system.
Hot, high-pressure refrigerant leaving the A/C compressor enters the condenser, where heat is transferred to the surrounding air. As the refrigerant cools, it condenses from a high-pressure gas into a high-pressure liquid before continuing through the remainder of the climate-control system.
A correctly functioning condenser is essential for efficient cabin cooling, stable system pressures and reliable air-conditioning operation.
What This Product Does:
The A/C condenser removes heat from the refrigerant after it has been compressed.
Its main functions include:
- Dissipating heat from the air-conditioning refrigerant
- Converting high-pressure refrigerant gas into liquid
- Supporting effective cabin cooling
- Helping maintain correct refrigerant pressures
- Working with the compressor, receiver/drier and evaporator
- Providing sufficient heat exchange during hot-weather operation
- Maintaining efficient operation of the complete A/C system
Without adequate condenser performance, the refrigerant cannot reject heat efficiently and cabin cooling will deteriorate.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
Common signs of condenser deterioration include:
- Weak air-conditioning performance
- Warm air from the cabin vents
- Cooling becoming less effective over time
- Complete loss of A/C cooling
- Refrigerant leakage
- Oily residue on or around the condenser
- Hissing caused by refrigerant escaping
- Bent cooling fins
- Corroded condenser fins
- Visible impact damage
- Refrigerant pressure faults
- Compressor cycling excessively
- Poor cooling in hot weather
- A/C performance improving only while the vehicle is moving
These symptoms can also be caused by other A/C components, so the system should be correctly diagnosed before replacement.
Why Replacement Matters:
A damaged condenser reduces the ability of the A/C system to reject heat.
Continued operation with a defective condenser may result in:
- Refrigerant loss
- Poor cabin cooling
- Incorrect system pressures
- Increased compressor workload
- Compressor overheating
- Reduced A/C efficiency
- Additional damage to the refrigeration system
Replacing a leaking, blocked or badly damaged condenser restores the heat-exchange capacity required for normal air-conditioning operation.
