What This Product Does
The arm transfers movement from the rear wiper spindle to the blade, maintaining contact across the curved tailgate glass. Its pivot cap covers the mounting point, while the integrated blade clears water and road debris from the rear window.
Functions
- Transfers wiper motor movement to the rear blade
- Maintains blade pressure against the tailgate glass
- Clears rain, spray and dirt from the rear window
- Covers the arm mounting and pivot area
Technical Details
- Brand: OE Match
- Set includes rear wiper arm, pivot cap and integrated blade
- Construction: PBT with GRP glass-fibre reinforcement
- Designed around the original arm length, pivot arrangement and mounting interface
- Blade profile follows the rear-window curvature for the intended wiping area
Symptoms of Fault
- Streaks or uncleared sections on the rear glass
- Blade skipping, juddering or making excessive noise
- Uneven blade contact across the window
- Movement or play at the wiper spindle
- A bent, weathered or damaged arm
- A cracked or missing pivot cap
- Poor results after replacing only the blade
Why Replacement Matters
A worn arm may no longer apply consistent pressure, allowing even a serviceable blade to smear or lift from the glass. Replacing the arm, cap and blade together renews the complete external assembly, restores the intended wiping path and refreshes the appearance of the tailgate area.
FAQs
- Does this set include the blade?
Yes. It combines the rear wiper arm, cap and integrated wiper blade. - Why can wiping remain poor after fitting a new blade?
Weak arm tension, a worn pivot or a bent arm can prevent the blade from sitting evenly against the glass. - How should the new arm be positioned?
Set the parked blade in the correct position on the rear glass before fully tightening the spindle fixing.
