Genuine Porsche part ensures exact fit, proper locking function, and long-lasting reliability. Located within the handbrake lever assembly on Porsche 356 models. Works alongside the pressure spring and pawl mechanism to secure lever position
Fits:

Porsche 356 A/540.1 1950 - 1955
Porsche 356 B / C 1950 - 1965
Porsche 356 Carrera 2000 upto 1963
Diagram ref no 9
This guide bush serves as both a locator and locking element in the handbrake mechanism. It helps guide the movement of the lever and maintain the correct locking position when the handbrake is engaged, providing smooth, consistent operation and secure holding force.
Why replacement matters:
• With age and wear, the original guide bush can deform, corrode, or lose its locking tension, resulting in a loose or unstable handbrake lever.
• Installing a genuine Porsche replacement restores proper engagement and precise lever movement—ensuring reliable parking brake function and preserving factory authenticity.

Handbrake lock repair kit, for LHD (Left Hand drive) cars and RHD (Right Hand drive)
The kit contains 2 locking segments for both LHD and RHD cars. Laser cut and zinc plated.
Fits:
Porsche 356
Diagram ref no 6, 7, 8, 9
This OE Match handbrake locking kit includes all key components required to restore the correct locking and return function of the handbrake mechanism on Porsche 356 and 356C models. Each piece is precision-engineered to match Porsche’s original specifications, ensuring perfect fit, proper alignment, and reliable operation.
Together, these components form the core locking assembly of the handbrake lever. The guide bush and spacer washers maintain alignment, the pressure spring provides correct tension and lever return, and the retaining washer secures all parts in place. This complete kit ensures smooth handbrake engagement, secure locking, and a solid lever feel.
With time and wear, original parts can corrode, weaken, or lose their spring tension, leading to uneven handbrake action or failure to hold securely. Replacing these components as a matched OE-quality set restores precise lever operation, consistent locking pressure, and long-term dependability.
