About the Performace Plenum:
Background:
The OEM 991.2 Turbo plenum is T-shaped which means the air flow from the throttle body abruptly change direction when it´s divided to each side of the intake manifolds. It makes sense to design a plenum with a Y-shape instead of a “straight into the wall” T-shape!
Development:
With the starting point in a comprehensive 3D-scan of the engine bay to get the structural limitations, we set to work. With the experience we had from previous Porsche plenums, we soon realised the need for a y-joint rather than the t-shaped OE plenum. From an airflow perspective the y-shape is more efficient as it distributes the air more evenly and with less pressure drop. We chose, as usual, to manufacture the plenum from cast aluminium as it allows for shapes that CNC-machining cannot replicate, and to us function always conquers form. Maximum airflow supersedes the bling factor!
The do88 plenum
The plenum is designed with soft, sweeping lines. Radius and angles have been revised and reworked many times over. The connections are CNC-machined and the plenum comes with suiting silicone hoses for optimum fitment and durability. The improvement in airflow is verified using CFD (Computer Flow Dynamics) as well as in our Superflow SF1020 flow bench. Taking away restrictions for the turbocharged air that reaches the inlet will provide better throttle response and performance gains all over the powerband!
Key figures:
- More air to your engine, less back pressure and better airflow!
- Airflow at 0,1 bar / 1,45 psi pressure drop: 846 CFM (808 CFM), 5% higher! See diagram below.
- Freeform designed, aluminium casting with CNC-machined connections.
- Y-design for optimum air distribution.
- Comes with all accessories needed for installation.

Convert the 964/993 induction to Drive by Wire set-up
Fits:
Porsche 964 - 1989 to 1993
Porsche 993 - 1994 to 1998
Product Overview:
Transform your Porsche 964's performance with this sleek and high-tech intake kit designed for Porsche 964/993. This innovation marks a transition from the typical accelerator cable-based throttle to an electronic "drive by wire" throttle body. This advanced change streamlines the intake system by eliminating unnecessary components, resulting in a cleaner engine bay appearance.
This modification offers a more drivable setup for highly tuned engines while incorporating the precision of a drive by wire (DBW) throttle.
This enhanced drivability is a key feature for a tuned aircooled engine and allows for smooth idle control with a cold as well as a hot engine. It simply makes the engine feel more modern as compared to the old ITB (individual throttle bodies) setups lacking in mid range torque and difficulties with the idle control.
Precision-Engineered Components:
- 82mm Throttle Body with Reinforced Industrial PA12 Manifold
- CNC-Milled Intake Manifold Stacks Crafted from Billet Aluminium
- Included Rubber Boots and Clamps for Easy Installation
- Islandworks Resonance Tube with Valve and Solenoid, Manufactured from the Same PA12 Material
- Integrated Manifold Pressure and Temperature Sensors
- Essential Vacuum Lines for Optimal Performance
Kit Includes
Complete intake with all the parts seen in the image manufactured from modified PA12 using an industrial process. This intake plenum has been optimized to fit on a Porsche 964 or Porsche 993 and includes all vacuum ports for both brake vacuum and to maneuver the resonance flap.
The following parts will be reused from the 964 intake:
- Rubber boots and clamps
- Vacuum reservoir
- The aluminum or plastic plenums
- Resonance flap
- Actuator and shaft
Note: the aluminum or plastic intake plenum is not included in the kit and neither are any of the items specifically listed as excluded above.

To be used when converting a G-Model 911 or a 964/993 engine to a turbocharged/supercharged engine with a 964 induction based Drive by Wire set-up
Conversion kit to a Porsche 964 based intake system to become a DBW (Drive by wire) intake based 74mm original Bosch throttle body (Sometimes referred to as 76mm) specifically executed all in CNC milled billet aluminum.
This is sold either with the intention to convert a Porsche 964/993 engine or to adapt and convert a 964 intake onto a G-model car when turbocharging.
Kit includes:
- Throttle body runner for 74mm throttle body in aluminum
- Vacuum port on throttle body runner
- Original Bosch electronic throttle body
- Original Bosch MAP-T-sensor
- Connecting pipe out of aluminum replacing the resonance tube
Intake runners for the Porsche 911 G-model (2-bolt) or 964/993 (3-bolt) engine are made out of billet aluminium, 3D milled in a 5-axis machine. The port diameter indicated in the options is the diameter of the port in the cylinder head.
The following parts are to be reused from your original 964 intake:
Rubber boots and clamps

Introducing the Silverlake Porsche 911 GT3-style intake manifolds, designed for both ITB (Individual Throttle Bodies) or DBW (Drive-By-Wire) applications. These manifolds are compatible with air-cooled and water-cooled Porsche engines, offering a lightweight and high-performance alternative to the OEM cast aluminum version.
Available in two advanced materials: temperature-cured carbon fiber prepreg or glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic, each plenum weighs just 825 grams (1.8 lbs), significantly lighter than the 2400 grams (5.3 lbs) of the stock aluminum version. This results in a total weight reduction of 3.15 kg (7 lbs) per pair — a 65% savings compared to the original.
Engineered and flow bench tested to ensure optimal airflow volume, the carbon fiber version features a matte finish, while the thermoplastic model comes painted in black, with the option for custom repainting. Both versions are free of logos, providing a clean, personalized look.
The kit includes two manifolds/plenums, the high-temperature silicone couplers are available separately.
