• Position on Vehicle: Installed in the rear braking system; the cable runs from the hand brake lever inside the vehicle to the rear brake assembly or equaliser.
• Function: Transfers the mechanical pull from the handbrake lever to the rear brakes, enabling the vehicle to be held securely when parked. Ensures full mobility of the handbrake mechanism and correct tension when released.
• Material & Construction: Durable steel cable core with corrosion-resistant outer sleeve, correct Porsche-style fittings at each end, and built to OE specifications for length, flexibility and durability.
• Applications: Ideal when the original cable shows signs of fraying, corrosion, excessive stretch, or when replacing the cable as part of a handbrake system overhaul on a classic Porsche 356.
