What This Product Does
The pipe carries engine oil through its section of the lubrication circuit. Its L-shaped bend provides the routing needed within the associated pipework. It is an individual oil pipe, rather than the oil tank or a complete set of lines.
Functions
- Conveys oil through the connected pipework.
- Provides a change of direction in the oil line.
- Replaces a damaged or leaking pipe during repair work.
Technical Details
- Part reference: 96420725711.
- Brand: OE Match.
- Configuration: L-bend oil pipe.
Symptoms of Fault
- Fresh oil appearing around the pipe or its connections.
- Drips beneath the vehicle or oily residue on nearby surfaces.
- Visible deterioration or damage to the pipework.
- Seepage developing after adjoining lines have been disturbed.
These signs do not identify the pipe as the cause on their own. Inspect neighbouring joints and seals before deciding which component needs renewal.
Why Replacement Matters
Renewing a defective oil pipe addresses leakage at the affected section and restores the intended oil route. During servicing or an engine rebuild, inspect adjoining connections, seals and supporting hardware so that related deterioration is not overlooked. OE Match develops replacement components around Porsche applications, with specification and fitment checks forming part of its product assessment.
FAQs
Could a connection be responsible for the leak?
Yes. Check the joint and sealing area as well as the pipe itself before replacing parts.
Should nearby fittings be inspected?
Check associated clamps, seals and connections for damage or deterioration when working on the oil line.
How should compatibility be confirmed?
Compare reference 96420725711 with the existing component and verify the vehicle's model, production year and engine specification.
