The steering knuckle supports the wheel assembly and transmits vertical and lateral loads from the suspension to the wheel hub, while also providing precise mounting points for steering and braking components. Function: Mounted at the front of the vehicle, the OE Match steering knuckle is the central pivot for the wheel hub and bearing assembly. It interfaces with control arms, strut/ball joint connections, and the steering tie rod to maintain proper steering response and suspension geometry. By holding these elements in the correct relation, the knuckle ensures stable wheel alignment, even tyre wear, and responsive handling under various road conditions.
Steering knuckles take significant load and impact forces as part of the front suspension and steering system.
